About That Poll

USC coach Pete Carroll on the difficulty of going No. 1 wire-to-wire in the AP poll.
"That doesn't have anything to do with anything else," he said. "We've always handled it well. The biggest task is to indoctrinate the guys who haven't been here before, the young guys."

So blowing a 12 point lead with 6:42 to play is considered well handled?

Give Texas some credit for fighting back. It's new season. Time to move on.

USC_89:

Yes they did handle it well. What Coach is referring to is not letting it get to them during the season thus causing them to miss a chance at a national title. If we don't have inujuries thus having to put the Ting's in the game on a consistent basis, it would have been the perfect season. Now how about relaxing, forgetting about that one game, and enjoy the upcoming season. It truly is frustating some of you people who have to constantly worry about past seasons. Get over it!

Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
