Beware Strangers
USC coach Pete Carroll warned the running backs yesterday to beware practice visitors with ties to other schools who would suggest leaving.
This advice confused some players but perhaps Carroll already knew Emmanuel Moody would depart and this was his first reaction. Moody was unhappy with his role in training camp, where the experienced backs received few reps the first week. He also bruised his knee, which further reduced his role.
Scott, I really don't think Pete has to worry about Miguelito standing outside USC's practice and telling all of SC's running backs to transfer to UCLA.
You wouldn't catch me on that side of town, I don't have a permit to carry a weapon. Also, I had to return my kevlar when I completed my enlistment. Moody leaving will give the others hope, if another one transfers it will be Bradford.

OMG - Miguelito. I think your son has been posting in your name for the past couple months! You might want to have a talk with him. He did not make you look good.
Two lucid non inflammatory posts in two days? If this isn't a sign of the apocalypse I don't know what is. Either that, or you're starting to make friends so that you don't have to disappear when USC puts a severe beating on your gutty Bruins in December.

I figured I'd at least give you that much. You won't be able to use it much longer. Might I suggest using your t-shirt as a towel to wash your bicycle or as a bed for your dog.
Moody was a surprise. I would have thought it would be Johnson, Bradford, or Gable.
Sucks because Moody seemed to have the most potential. He was our leading rusher last year, I think.
Actually,
I took a good look in the mirror and figured I shouldn't say something on a message board that I wouldn't say to a friend or stranger. It's a bad practice to act in such a way in anonymity. I don't have those type of exchanges with my sc co-workers or friends, I figured I need to learn to be more consistent.
8 t-backs left. Dennis is not healthy, Tyler will redshirt. Big backs are Washington and Bradford and maybe Green reshirts. Slot backs are Gable and McKnight. If guys can't be patient way did they come here?
I feel bad that he's choosing to go. He showed a lot of promise last year. This should at least clarify the picture at tailback a little and allow PC to get consistent reps to the rest of the guys. Best of luck to him though!
