First Loss Of Season

Pete Carroll might go undefeated but Art Bartner could not even win one game. USC's band lost to Grambling today on ESPN's College Football Live. If it's any consolation, the band's 1977 appearance at the World Series was shown on ESPN's New York Yankees' drama, The Bronx Is Burning.
But that was in the band's more energetic days, when Kansas songs owned the AM airwaves and 8-track tapes flew off the Wherehouse shelves.

The only thing more overratted than the TMBs pre-1980 song selection is Chris Carlisle. If I have to listen to another Bartner interpretation of Chicago hits, Im gonna puke. Im sure these "kids" love playing that crap.

what are you talking about?

He's talking about how Bartner is living off of fme he derived 25 years ago. The man still has the Band playing stuff from the early freakin 70's. I wish he'd retire.

70's was best era for music.

..........and the 50's was the best era for baseball. BUT there comes a time to move on, no?

I was following USC_89's point till he said Chris Carlisle was over-rated. I guess that's why USC hasn't lost by double digits in years and never seem to be dragging - because he is over-rated. I guess Carlisle is also to blame for all the second half comebacks USC has had when the other teams have barely been able to stay on the same field.

In the past few years, The Offspring's "The Kids Aren't Alright" has been added to the TMB's set list. Hey, that's one song from the past 30 years! That's not too bad, is it? We have one new song that is less than 30 years old, so I don't know what you're all complaining about!

USC_89: Calling Chris Carlisle overrated is amazingly indicative of your lack of understanding of strength and conditioning. You may have a legitimate complaint about TMB or not, but the slam on Carlisle reflected poorly on yourself.
