Memo To Moody

| | Comments (13) |

I just spoke to a close observer of the Florida football program regarding Emmanuel Moody.
``He's insane,'' the person said. ``Running backs rarely get 15 touches a game here.''
Moody also forgot that Urban Meyer's never had a 1,000-yard rusher, the source said.

Two additional points:
1. First like the old saying be careful what you wish for.
2. Florida as I perceive it is a heavily passing team.

He left the best thing for the second or third best...

Perhaps he thinks he'll be more visible at Florida, won't take the pounding he was getting at SC and still has a chance to play in the NFL.

Here's two of my uneducated guesses, as to what he's thinking:

1. He thinks less carires on a team that gets major exposure will be better than a lot of carries on a team that gets less, like UNC and Oklahoma State.

2. He's looking at the long-term big picture because he knows his body can really take 30 touches a game. When he goes pro he can work the Mr. Upside angle.

I'm not saying they'll work, it just my guess as to his mindset.

But really, whatever.
As long as he doesn't trash-talk USC or face the Trojans in a National Championship, I wish him well.

...maybe he wants to be the first Meyer 1,000 yd rusher... he's going to need a hefty per carry average to do it.

I remember reading articles about his uncle talking to coaches last year and trying to politic for more carries. Perhaps PC and staff finally shut his uncle out (hence the comment, "I feel like I am off the radar") and so they have to take their show somewhere else.

Going to Florida really negates the reasons he gave to leave...which means it is simply an ego/political thing.

It's pretty obvious what he is thinking--he wanted to be the #1 stud RB here, or at least the top dog of a pack of dogs. And when that wasn't happening, he got mad like a little baby, and ran to a school that he thinks will win the NC or even, beat USC in the NC game. Then he can exact his revenge for USC "Wasting his time" and "not getting the ball to the playmakers".

The only problem is, like Scott has been posting, Florida is a spread offense team that throws it 60% of the time and already have D. Wynn at RB and Tebow will be doing alot of the running, also.

So...

Pretty stupid plan Moody!hahahha

C'mon!

Let's call it for what it is. Holland had his ear and Holland's old coach had both of their ears.

They got recurited to play at Florida. All along he knew he was going there.

Okie State, NC, all red herrings.

When is the NCAA investigation taking place.

C'mon Scott Wolf, mr. investigative reporter. How about you stop your questionable adoration of MM and investigate this trasfergate.

Man, I can't believe that Urban Meyer just came right out and admitted that Moody is insane.

Interesting theory 11Bravo.

How about it, Mr. Wolf?

D. Wynn graduated. He will have some heavy competition at UF but I think him wanting out says more about what may be going on at usc more so than it does at UF. UF for a running back right now is not a great draw considering that by the time he is eligible the competition will be tougher next season.

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
