I think that is fine...Pinkard has talent..

I just hope Harris will be OK soon..we gotta start healing up for the season we are like the walking wounded already...Harris, Will Harris, RAdovich, Sanchez, Turner, Patterson, McKnight, Tyler, Dennis, Chauncey....the list goes on and on...

Different day, different injury, but in this case, there is no fall off with Pinkard starting opposite of T2. And if Cary is healthy, he will play against "Spud U", but I would rather see him fully recover and be ready for the rest of the season.

I seem to recall that Pete Carroll called Pinkard the best athlete on the team last year before he was injured so I don't see any drop off and he may be better than Harris at corner?

Pinkard is the best corner on the team and should start.

I agree with USC1966 that the prevalence of injuries year-in and year-out that infect this team is an absolute joke.

Leading the nation in talent wasted on the sidelines is not going to win any National Championships.

Am I the only one impressed by Buehler hitting a 58 yarder? Scott, was this mentioned before? This boy has a foot thats clear, hopefully he can be accurate when necessary.

Just as a general comment that covers all the positions.

I hate to see a player get passed over due to injury.

Trojan RAB:

I guess you would have preferred Wally Pipp to Lou Gehrig?

I have no problem with Pinkard starting at corner because he is just that good. I've been to some practices and he is super fluid on the field. He is a great athlete, even after that ACL injury. Harris didn't impress me at all last season. He might not have given up alot of big plays, but he was so bad in coverage that he had to always give 20 yard cushions.

In addition, I believe that if Kevin Thomas was healthy, he would start over Terrell Thomas. Terrell is good, but Kevin Thomas, when healthy, is much quicker and has better coverage skills. Just my opinion.

Scott Wolf

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
