New Policy

The freshman football players will be spread out through the campus instead of living in just one area this year.
Some will live in Cardinal Gardens but most will be in other dorms. The purpose is to give football players a living experience that resembles what normal students encounter.
And maybe it will cut down any chance of off-field hi-jinx in university apartments.

Thank goodness. After Mark Sanchez was arrested for sexual assault at the Cardinal Gardens, a football office staffer moved into the complex last year, and I was told quite some time ago that football players were going to be moved into dorms. Now it's a reality. Cardinal Gardens was the site of several football players getting arrested and accused of sexual assault, so it's best to split them up where they cannot get into as much trouble. We don't need that cloud hanging over the university.

This was a good move by the athletic department and student affairs.

Yep, generally keeping high-risk inmates segregated is a good idea :)

It is a serious matter. The ruins are lucky, they don't have to worry. All of their male students do everything together: eat, sleep, shop, sun bathe, shower, parade.

Umm, well when I was a Freshmen at SC living in the New/North Dorms, I would say this is the last place for a football player to be in order to stay out of trouble. Nothing bong tokin dudes and drunk freshmen girls running around in the wee hours of the night. Real smart, but I had a hell of time.

Putting football players in other dorms is the worst idea ever for keeping them out of "trouble". My memories of New/North dorm my freshmen year involve bong tokes and drunken freshmen girls running around in the wee hours of the night. Real smart, but I had a hell of time.

All the runners for the sports agents will really have to earn their money travelling all over campus to make their payments!!

Cheat On!

Too little too late Peter the cheater.......lack of institutional control. Does that mean all the blue chippers will have to move out of the Medici? 13 to 9

No...lack of institutional control is when the McDonald’s Manager doesn’t keep a close enough eye on the slacker employee...who has snuck off from the deep fryer to the broom closet to write another unoriginal post on Scott’s Blog.

Bill...once in a blue moon you come up with a pretty funny post...do you think that you could help Little Michael out with his material?

I actually like this.

I don't think all the players should live together, but rather get spread out among the regular students.

It allows the players to make other friends outside the team, and gives the chance for non-athletes to get to know their players.
