Would you describe Mitch Mustain as being a mobile quarterback? More of a passer?

Scott,

Is Michael McDonald going to play the entire second half of the Idaho game or will Jon Breuer be brought in at all during the 4th quarter for some plays?

Keep up the wonderful work you do with this forum, young man.

Scott, Garrett Green has really shined and stepped up as a wide receiver (due to all of the injuries at this position). He has looked great in the scrimmages...no matter who is throwing him the ball. Is Green going to actually get an opportunity to play this year...or is Green just destined to be a solid back-up and practice player?

Scott:

With all the transfers and players not being granted admission (Cameron et al), have all 85 scholarships been awarded for the year to walk-ons? Are there any remaining scholarships that have yet to be assigned to a player?

Hey Scott. The AP top 25 was released earlier this week and I know you have a vote again this year. What's your top 25?

Scott- I know the PAC-10 has limits for how many players can travel to away games, but do you know if Mustain will be able to travel to the non-conference away games?

SW, just a little over a week before the start of the season, what will PC and the staff do this week to prep for Sept 1st? What will occur more between now and then, practice on the field or players on the trainers table. Thanks and Fight On!

Do you think the basketball team will get over 20 wins this year and advance far in the NCAA Tournament? Do you think youth and inexperience, despite the presence of OJ Mayo, may be a factor and result in a disappointing season?

Scott:

How many players on the roster do you know that are on academic probation currently and could be expelled at the end of the semester?

gmoney014:

See Scott's first posting on August 18th for his first poll.

...also, Scott will you be at the Salute to Troy dinner tomorrow night?

Are you able to elaborate on whether Brian Cushing has been using steroids in the two years since arriving at USC?

Any early indication as to the severity of Chauncy Washington's shoulder injury, and if he does miss some time, will he back at full strength for the Nebraska game?

Hey Scott

Please give me some of those Vegas odds you love on Cushing and Rey M leaving after this year?

Scott:

With the team staying at a hotel the night before the first game, and Elevatorgate still unsolved, this raises several questions:

1. What precautions are being taken to protect our hero Mitch Mustain as he prepares to leave his hotel room to go downstairs in the elevator?

2. Does our hero Mitch Mustain just simply "know" what route to take in order to avoid danger and get to the Coliseum on time?

3. Is the only way to derail our hero Mitch Mustain to stop the hotel elevator while he is in it, so he misses the bus to the Coliseum?

4. Are precautions being taken to keep Sanchez in a room far away from our hero Mitch Mustain?

What do you believe the next gate could be?

Are you any closer to unraveling the mysteries of Pedalgate? Just how does our hero Mitch Mustain get to campus if he does not have a bicycle? Since he is The Chosen One, does he just appear without anyone actually seeing him come and go?

Fight On!

I believe that Broderick Green will become eligible.
Can you compare Broderick Green and Alan Bradford's running style?

Hi Scott:

What role do you foresee Hershel Dennis having on the team if he's unable to play? Do you think his active involvement in having helped other running backs is a precursor to him landing a job as a graduate assistant on Pete Carroll's staff next year?

What are your overall impressions of Stafon Johnson so far and how would you compare him to other other tailbacks?

Thanks.

Scott, you keep saying that you need more time to formulate an opinion on Mitch Mustain due to so few reps, so we should ask later. Well, it's later, so are you able to provide a decent breakdown of his play yet or should we get back to you later?

Scott, since Mustain has now gone 4 for 6 for 66 total yards and 1 TD over two scrimmages...is it fair to say that Mitch Mustain is probably the best Quarter Back to ever play football for USC?

PS - Fluor...you had me rolling after reading your post.

Scott,
Will Joe McKnight be ready for the opening game?

I have heard Rey Maualuga has had numerous off the field issues at USC, in addition to his arrest for assault, but they have never been made public. Can you go into any kind of detail regarding Maualuga's campus problems? Scott, I don't want to put you on the spot if this is a hot topic you don't want touch, so don't feel compelled to answer.

Thanks for the forum, though.

JJ4nothing and the flower child:
Two idiotic changos, WHY?
Garrett Green will never beat out Vidal Hazelton.
Flower child don't insult America with your hero Bool$#*T garbage...
Check your lipstick moron.

Scott,

What do you think the chances are that Steve Sarkisian is gone from USC after this season? Any other coaches you think may be gone after the season to other jobs?

Do you have any insight as to Antwine Perez and his time at USC?

OL analysis. Who will start, who is injured, strengths, weaknesses? Will this group get the job done this year?

PC and crew didn't size up Fresno State properly and almost got bowled over. Any chance that Idaho can catch the Trojans off guard?
We are without a Reggie Bush equivalent to razzle dazzle us out of an unexpected Idaho surge.

Hi Scott,
How would you rank the WR's heading into the season?
Turner
Aus.
Hazelton 3rd? Then who?

TJK4SC, just ask Rick. The coaches and administration all work for him. He has all the inside poop. But something tells me you know Rick and his buddy TrojanSAEqueerforMustainNYC really well. It just happens to be the way you turn a phrase regarding our "troubled" non-LILLY-white ballers. Ask a legitimate question or SHUT THE F UP you EFFIN' CREEP!

In terms of running style, which former trojan running back(s) would you compare Stafon Johnson to?

After watching a few 2006 games on ESPNU, it seems the tailbacks had some good quality runs but also had several that lost yardage. Was this primarily because:
a) the tailbacks were inexperienced and didn't wait for their blocks;
b) the offensive line didn't get to their assignments correctly; or
c) the wrong plays were called against the defensive alignment?

And you're not allowed to say a combination of all three. What was the PRIMARY reason for all those 4 and 5 yard losses and how has that been addressed with this year's team?

Scott,

A two-headed question involving Brad Walker. What was Reggie’s explanation for his lateral to Brad in the ’06 Rose Bowl, and what is the over-under for #receptions Brad will have in this, his final season? It’s probably asking too much, but maybe a few throws his way in blow-out games so he isn’t remembered only as the guy to whom Reggie lateralled?? Opposing coaches must know by now that if Brad’s in the game, he’s just there to block.

Greetings Wise Wolfie:

How are you tonight?
Wait! That's not my one question I want to ask tonight!

Here it is:
As of right now, which of the following four answers best describes how the 2008 recruiting is going:
[from the coaches' standpoint, or, if you don't know, then from your standpoint]
A. A lot better than expected.
B. A little better than expected.
C. A little worse than expected.
D. A lot worse than expected.
And, of course, the corollary, WHY?

Thank you very much as always, Scott, for taking the time to continue the forums--they are greatly appreciated! Thanx again!

Scott:

What is it about Mustain that makes you say "he reads defenses well"? Have you actually seen this or that's what you hear?

“Garrett Green will never beat out Vidal Hazelton” - DP

WTF Knob?

Who ever said anything about Green beating out Hazelton or starting? The question was is Green going to actually get an opportunity to play this year...or is Green just destined to be a solid back-up and practice player?...and thanks for your 2 Cents...but contrary to your take Scott’s answer was Yes.

PS - Hazelton should worry about getting healthy and beating out Ausberry (not Green).

Can you please explain why Broderick Green had to take these online courses with BYU? I assume it has to do with his grades (lack there of) at high school. Do you think Carroll needs to worry about academic problems with this guy down the road?

chango4nothing:
Besides being a pend*jo and chango you're stupid.
MM has NOT thrown a pass and you QB coach genius have the cojon*s to label MM the best QB USC ever had. That is the best CFB knowledge you got to offer? You are beyond ridiculous. Anybody who has followed USC will tell you that Palmer, Leinart and Paul McDonald(Michael's dad) are USC's best QB's. Do your homework moron. Don't come with that changa arrogance of yours and say that you know a lot about CFB. Based on that infatuation and your platonic love for MM you don't know $#*T, OK chango come mierda?
That bool$#*T does NOT impress anybody here chango.

Knob, you are TOO funny!

YOU actually thought I was serious when I said...“since Mustain has now gone 4 for 6 for 66 total yards and 1 TD over two scrimmages...is it fair to say that Mitch Mustain is probably the best Quarter Back to ever play football for USC?”...apparently you have bigger issues than I thought!

There is something called sarcasm...which you clearly don’t understand. Maybe if you learn to differentiate a sarcastic comment from a serious comment...you won’t pop off with another response that just further embarrasses yourself.

chango4nothing:
Nice try pootah! Hey hotlips you sell yourself to the highest bidder, OK autograph seeker or should I say rear end kisser. Go and party with the rest of the usual suspects pend*jo...

No when you say “Go and party with the rest of the usual suspects pend*jo...”...do you mean the USC Coaching Staff, USC Football Team, and USC alumni and supporters?

I too am man enough to admit when I make a typo...so I will admit that I wrote "No" instead of "Now".

chango4nothing is a man. I thought you were one of those AC/DC's...
