Redshirt Candidates
While everyone focuses on freshmen like Joe McKnight and Kris O'Dowd, USC coach Pete Carroll pulled aside wide receiver Brandon Carswell, tight end Rhett Ellison and safety Marshall Jones and informed them not to expect to play against Idaho, because the coaches are still deciding whether to redshirt the players.

I guess this post was for those of us that didn't feel like actually reading your last post - considering it contains exactly the same information

Tyler, I think Scott does that for the UCLA fans who are incapable of reading more than a paragraph at a time. However, the columns are worth reading even if you're an illiterate Bruin. For example, today's column makes a little more sense of that O'Dowd/Byrers communication thing than yesterday's blog posting did. I for one will be watching them communicate during the game and pointing it out to others gathered around my 46" Sony. It will make me look smart and informed, which is ultimately why I read this blog.

This former NCAA investigator says that we are going to get hammered over the Bush accusations, and potentially other things.

Hey Dawson, we know you're a bRuin. Don't try the "we" crap. Didn't you get called on this before?
The article is all about the opinion of someone who isn't involved in an investigation and is just going on what he's read in a couple of articles. You should take it with a grain of salt. I recall a thumping that his team received in the Championship Game a couple of years ago. I'd imagine that he's still a bit bitter.
But hey -- how about that indictment of the Wooden era...

"His answer surprised me. But then so did his prediction: "I think they're going to get hammered. You cannot penalize Oklahoma like they did and let this Reggie Bush thing go. The day of reckoning is coming."
I would have liked to call Mike Seba, senior oddsmaker, on that one. But no one makes book on NCAA investigations. As betting propositions go, they're way too risky."
Even the article's writer doesn't believe USC will be sanctioned by the NCAA. Can't you read?

Hey dawson:
Do you know the difference between a minnow and a big game fish? I'd say you probably do NOT. Don't get a heart attack with your excitement, OK? We'll have an EMT ready just for you!
