Walk-on kicker Brook Van Muijen was cut from the team, joining Emmanuel Moody as a roster deletion.

I'd imagine it's different with kickers than it may be at other spots. At WR or something like that, we may be apt to keep a Ben Malcolmson-type who has no business being on a football field, because we need bodies since playeers are getting hurt. At kicker, guys don't get hurt often, so they an extra walk-on may be cutting into the reps that a Buehler or a Houston may be getting.

He actually turned down a scholarship offer from another school to attend USC as a walk-on. Too bad it did not work out for him.
