Do you think Youssoupha Mbao will end up at USC? What do you think about Dwanye poolee skipping the aau circuit this summer to improve his game and take classes at community college?

I know its early and everyone's mind is on football, but Im a big basketball fan too and Ive been hearing that OJ Mayo - Juice Deuce - has been getting a lot of playing time with Pros in pickup games. How has he been looking?? Has he been getting any playing time with his new teammates, and if so how have they been gelling?

Any info on Juice Duece would be great.

Update on Sam Baker's toe??? It is amazing, but we all know that a toe injury has kept many NFLers on the sideline for weeks.

I know UCLA beat us last year and we have dominated Notre Dame in recent years, but what team do the players feel are the bigger rival?

In terms of skills, would you consider Vidal Hazelton to be in the mold of the Keary Colbert/Steve Smith type of receiver? And yes, I know that it is unfair to compare him with the two leading receivers in the history of the school.

Do Mike Bellotti and Pete Carroll still hate one another after Carroll repeatedly mouthed "F You" to Bellotti from across the field a year or two ago?

Scott:

No question, but something even bigger. A Mitch Mustain sighting on page 70 of the most recent issue of ESPN the magazine. Okay, here's my question: Have you read the article yet and do you have any comments related to it??

In your opinion, who has a more gnarly-looking pinky finger: Pete Carroll, Anthony Munoz or Ronnie Lott? How long after first meeting Pete did it take for you to quit staring at his twisted digit?

Since coming to SC, Pete Carroll hasn’t lost twice to any one coach. Assuming there’s a first (to beat Carroll twice), who’s the most likely candidate?

Did/Does Garrett Green have NFL aspirations for himself?

I ask because Booty and Sanchez were already at USC and the competition was not as serious at UCLA and Nebraska, where he was also given offers. From what I've gathered he's an intelligent individual but if he was just looking for a free education he could have taken the offer he recieved from Harvard.

The only thing that I could see swaying him towards being a Trojan is that he is Brandon Hance's cousin.

Pete Carroll has lost to a coach twice. That would be Bill Snyder at Kansas State.

do you think pete carroll will leave after the 2007 season and what five star recurit will end up with usc

what 5 star recurit will end up with usc and will pete caroll leave

what 5 star recurit will end up with usc and will pete caroll leave ?

Was there any official way that Weis could have challenged the "Bush Push" and if so did he attempt it?
What comment(s) did he make regarding that play?

How far along is Damian Williams in his recovery and when will he be at full strength again?

If Pete Carroll leaves USC this year, or anytime soon, do you think Brennan Carroll will still have a job in the football office?

In your opinion, how would you describe Mitch Mustain's style of play? Runner, long thrower, short passer, fast, slow, etc.?

Since Pete Carroll's contract includes a bonus for producing a Heisman Trophy winner, do you think Booty will be kept in games longer than usual during blowouts, to get his stats up for the benefit of Heisman voters on the East Coast who won't be able to see the late games?

USCFan510:
To partially answer your question above, Charlie said:
1.It was illegal as hell[he didn't mention the Irish had been pushing Brady Quinn all afternoon].
2.It was a heads-up play by Reggie.
3.If he were Bush, he would have done the same thing.

Hi oh Wise Wolfman:
See, I'm trying to make up for asking that 3000 word question last time by answering readers' questions for you tonight, and by asking you a very easy one.

Recruiting-wise, I think things are looking up. We got Butler, and are favored now to get Beal[your last odds on our getting him were 5-2, heh heh] Assuming we get him, that would make 14 so far. Also, you have given us two near-locks, plus the guy from Arkansas--getting them all would make 17. I think it's only fair when we consider this class to add in Damian and Mitch.[19] To make me happy with this recruiting class would require our getting 5 or 6 more 4* or 5* players.[in addition]
Here is the question[at long last]: What do you and the coaches think the odds are, that, after all is said and done,I will be happy come the end of the signing day??? [Um....before you make a joke, I guess I should reiterate that I mean happy with our recruiting class--only} Also, after re-reading this,I feel compelled to apologize for the verbosity. After all, why use 15 words when 500 can accommplish the same thing? But seriously, thanks a lot, as I place a high value on your opinion. I could go on and explain why, but something tells me I better quit. Besides, I need another drink!

I know you said the PAC-10 has a limit of how many players can travel to away games, but can Mitch Mustain travel with the team to non-conference away games and the bowl game this year?

Do you know, for a fact, whether Dallas Sartz and Ryan Kalil have actually graduated from USC? I know they "walked," but they were involved in the LA Trade Tech Spanish class situation and had their grades revoked, and they were not enrolled in classes last semester. So have their degrees actually been conferred and they are graduates or USC, or are they still lacking some units to graduate?

How are you progressing with "Mitch and Me"? Are you hoping the book eventually becomes a documentary or a full-blown movie with actors? Will it include photographs of the bike?

What is the likelihood that Tom Hanson will leave anytime soon and would a new commissioner be able to improve the Pac 10's bowl arrangements?

Will Pete be back after this season? I have read a few published reports saying he is going. I am guessing the rest of the CFB world wants to believe ths to be true.

On average, how many football commits do you know about during a season and can't state publicly ?

Do you ever suspect that a high school player that doesn't deserve an offer is given one just because of who their friends and/or families are?

On occasion you see a player get an offer who happens to have a younger relative or a classmate with more potential. And sometimes you hear about a guy on the bench who's dad was in the program thirty years ago.

After the Nick Saban deal went down ( and the Miami Dolphin meeting took place), was Pete Carroll's contract renegotiated? If not, is he in that ballpark for total compensation?

Which WR has the most upside, and when will Ausberry beat out Turner for his starting spot.
(I'm obviously biased). If he doesn't beat him out, does SC roll with more 3 wr sets at the expense of the TE?

How do have a great blog in the next month? Give us lots of info on the workouts and the player (newcomers returnees).

Is there an approximate date for new videos to be posted on your blog? How about a daily feature on Mitch Mustain in training camp? That would clearly be a can't miss world exclusive and would get you even more daily hits.

Fight on!

Thanks chapelhilltrojan. I overlooked him. He was a fine coach. My bad.

Scott, how about if I rephrase my question such that it’s limited to coaches from the PAC10 and the fat-man. Assuming it happens, who in your opinion will be the first coach from that group to defeat Pete Carroll twice?

P.S., If I were Jim Harbaugh, I’d hire Bill Snyder as a consultant.

Which players will likely be named captains of this year’s team? Booty, Baker, Jo-Jack, Ellis & Rivers (the five guys featured on the 2007 media guide cover)? Are they popular enough with their “mates” to be selected?

Scott. What is the USC practice schedule? Can just anyone showup and watch?

What is Carson Palmer like as a person?

You mentioned that you're an AP voter again this year. What's your top 25?

Scott -

I know because USC is private they do not release Pete's contract. Do you know the ballpark of how much he makes as well as the contract perks (ie bonus and escelation triggers)?

Thanks!

chapelhilltrojan:
You brought up an interesting subject. Although PC has lost only once to UT Mack Brown USC on the other hand has lost twice to Mack Brown. The first defeat in 1993 or 1994 when Mack Brown was UNC HC. We all know about those dark days before PC.
BTW five star BK prospect Davon Jefferson is from NC. DO you feel like you need a body guard in NC when you tell them that you are a USC fan?
