On the spotty opening performance against Idaho.
``We slowed down a little bit,'' tight end Fred Davis said. ``I'm glad it's just the first game. People think it's not a good team we played but they end up doing things they don't normally do because they are playing us.''

Right Said Fred. Now get ready to meet the children of the corn. The world will see what SC is made of: Champions. Let it Reign!

I'm actually kind of glad USC didn't clobber Idaho. What would that prove?

USC played a very basic game and won by 28. No blitzes, no trick plays.
The result: Nebraska does not have good film to review.

It's straight up Sun Tzu sh!t.

David, what the hell has happened to the Akami stock that you bragged about last summer? Hell, what the hell has happened to you since last summer? You have not posted in over a year...

BTW, it's down to the $30 range...but it was as high as $60.

I should have bought when you suggested. Any more good options you have seen?

Let us know...

I think the heat had something to do with the playing. All week long it was hot. Lethargic. But all in all they showed flashes of greatness.
I agree with Fred, everyone who plays SC gives it their best. They play with the "I have nothing to lose" attitude.

But Fred, isn't that why you came to SC, to take everyone's best shot? What doesn't kill you can only make you better. Bring on the Huskers!

USC got the win and the game was never even close. I think they will learn a lot more from a game like this than a 70+point blowout. On to Lincoln!

RE: USC played a very basic game and won by 28. No blitzes, no trick plays.

You got two(2) out of three right.

No blitzes??? Which game were you watching Petingtong? They were blitzing more than Nazi Germany during World War II. It was pretty ridiculous actually.

USC blitzed a lot. Most were picked up. Idaho's head coach was an assistant at WSU last year. He knew our tendencies and he knew our personnel. I thought he called a pretty good game.

I was fortunate enough to have a field pass, and I have to say that Booty stares down receivers like nobody I've ever seen. Immediately from the snap, that guy will track like a missile guidance system on one receiver. He has not, repeat has not, improved at all from last season in this regard. Also, for him to get passes knocked down by a very undersized Idaho team does not speak well either. I was on both sidelines and the Idaho team is small, much smaller than any PAC-10 team or Nebraska. He will have at least 3 passes knocked down against Nebraska and I think it will be a nail biter that will come down to the last team in possession of the ball winning the game.

Just a random thought...

Whenever I look at those ugly UCLA cheerleaders, my penis goes from 13-9 to miguelito size...

thank you.

Basically The Sark echoes your description of the game.

"We had a game plan where a lot of young guys needed to play and we didn't want them to have to think a whole lot," Sarkisian said. "(Center) Kris O'Dowd, (wide receiver) David Ausberry, (tailback) Joe McKnight, (fullback) Stanley Havili, (tailback) Stafon Johnson, just to name a few. All those guys played their first games or got their first significant playing time.

"We just wanted to give the young guys a chance. We got to see guys in front of live bullets."

He promises a more complex play book for the Corn People.

Fight ON!
