I think the heat had something to do with the playing. All week long it was hot. Lethargic. But all in all they showed flashes of greatness.
I agree with Fred, everyone who plays SC gives it their best. They play with the "I have nothing to lose" attitude.

But Fred, isn't that why you came to SC, to take everyone's best shot? What doesn't kill you can only make you better. Bring on the Huskers!

USC got the win and the game was never even close. I think they will learn a lot more from a game like this than a 70+point blowout. On to Lincoln!

No blitzes??? Which game were you watching Petingtong? They were blitzing more than Nazi Germany during World War II. It was pretty ridiculous actually.

USC blitzed a lot. Most were picked up. Idaho's head coach was an assistant at WSU last year. He knew our tendencies and he knew our personnel. I thought he called a pretty good game.

I was fortunate enough to have a field pass, and I have to say that Booty stares down receivers like nobody I've ever seen. Immediately from the snap, that guy will track like a missile guidance system on one receiver. He has not, repeat has not, improved at all from last season in this regard. Also, for him to get passes knocked down by a very undersized Idaho team does not speak well either. I was on both sidelines and the Idaho team is small, much smaller than any PAC-10 team or Nebraska. He will have at least 3 passes knocked down against Nebraska and I think it will be a nail biter that will come down to the last team in possession of the ball winning the game.

Just a random thought...
