Did You Know?

Ricky Bell set a USC record for rushing against Washington State, with 347 yards in 51 carries in 1976, in a game played at the Kingdome. But here's what's interesting about that. Bell lost seven yards after the game, when it turned out Washington State gave him seven yards gained by Charles White. That's why he didn't break 350 yards.
Bell also lost three fumbles in that game. Of course, three fumbles in 51 touches is pretty good by Joe McKnight's standards.

burn didn't joe mcknight learn.

I hope this Wazzou tilt is not a Trap Game!

USC is coming off a huge road win on national TV with a tough match at UW in 2 weeks.

The upsets come when you least expect them. Trojans have been invincible at the Coliseum, but here comes a mobile, experienced QB who konws they can play 'SC close. Add in the experienced receivers and a capable RB, and Look Out!

Gee, Scott, nice sarcasm, hitting McKnight while the kid is down. I watched him on the bench after his fumble and he was hanging his head for 30 minutes, while teammates came up to offer encouragement. I noticed you were not one of the supporters. Perhaps you were on the phone with your boy Mitch cheerleading his 2008 chances.

Not to be an A-hole or anything, but...
Wolf's an A-hole.

No way is this a trap game. This will be a "freshmen get on the field and play a lot" game. SC by at least five touchdowns. Not only will it not be close, it won't even be close to being close.

Now Washington in two weeks? That's another story. I'm kind of afraid of Tebow-West, Jake the Snake Locker.

While you can editorialize either for or against USC's chances on Saturday, remember WSU may be bringing its rain with them, as well as benefitting from the SI cover jinx as well.
But the McKnight shot was cheap, either way!

I don't understand why you always feel the need to take cheap shots at players. I can't believe you're still employed by the Daily News. I also don't understand why anyone associated with the USC Football Program would ever give you the time of day for a story. You're a joke and you know it!

Something tells me Wolfie gets a mini-erection every time he bashes a player.

What an A-hole.

Why Scott? It is very Petros like of you =)

At least you could've given the poor kid a reach-around before you ran out of vaseline. Yes, I know your queer, but it will be our secret lover boy.. Oops-a-daisy.. This is private mail isn't it?

Your Lyspy Lover- Dong Fo Yu

The pressure of playing well so an agent will give his parents a home is causing him to fumble.

No wonder Les Miles is thanking Slick Petey for taking Fumble McKnight off his hands!

I'm still laughing at Jacks' post, that was hilarious... but lame-joke-Bill needs to put his tampon back in. Dong Fo Him too.

I remember when Wolf reported that McKnight used to enjoy kicking puppies but it turned out he just liked taunting the ones with short tails.

44-6!

Scott Wolf

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
