Washington coach Ty Willingham practices in pads once a week to avoid injuries. Caesar practices at the same intensity whether in pads or shorts to simulate game intensity every day.

Hey Scott:
Maybe you could comment;
I think that Carroll takes it alittle too far re: the intensity of practice because players are getting hurt too often.

Also, since Cushing already had a "bad" ankle, why weren't the coaches diligent enough to hold him out until he is "game ready" and not just "normal person" ready?

I'd rather have to suffer the chance of more injuries and go to 5 straight BCS games than less injuries and having to fly to the Vegas Rotorooter Bowl on Christmas day.

Ty cannot afford the injuries because he does not have the depth Pete has. Not to be cruel, but with so much talent being about even, the Trojan coaches may tend to treat the boys like expendable chess pawns. Is this why Scott calls Pete 'Caesar?' It certainly is not a complimentary name, kind of right up there with 'Mussolini'.

"Everyday" is a bit of a stretch. Don’t players have off on Sunday and do a walk-through on Friday? So you're really just talking Monday through Thursday, or 4 days of intensity (plus the game). There are 105 guys on the roster, and just 11 on the field at a time. Few are real stars, most are just cannon fodder. How many could tackle Vince Young? Part of being an elite athlete is recuperative ability.

There is a huge difference in win loss records too isn't there?

If you are trying to have a hidden adgenda or reporting that there is ANY comparison between Willingham and Carroll, FORGET IT!! No chance!

What does Jose Mourinho do?

Oh ... I forgot, he doesn't have a gig right now.

Does Avram Grant have a license yet?

Manchester United 2
Birmingham City 0

Same score as last week, since these Blues are just another mid-table side like Chelsea's Blues.

By the way, who cares about the Carling Cup? Besides Roman Abramovich, of course.

Scott, you're such a f'ing drama queen.

Is your given name Scott "Implication" Wolf, because I swear you can't make a statement without some unwritten implication.

Seek help, dude.

Carroll forgot to tone it down after the Ting steroid connection left.

Hey ReelBruin...maybe the wussies in Westwood should start practicing in pads. They might be able to cut that deficit to single digits the next time they play the mighty Utes.
