Can Nebraska get Johnny Rogers to attend? I will be there and would love to meet that man. He was an All-American in one of the greatest games of all time, the 1971 Nebraska-Oklahoma championship game. Back and forth, two different styles. I do miss that Husker option attack-- it was one of a kind, pure collegiate. But Miami sealed its fate with its "speed kills" slaugter in a recent BCS championship game.

They gotta get I. M. Hipp. One of the greatest names ever.

What in the hell is wrong with #32? He was USC 2nd. RB to win the Heisman trophy. Do you have anymore stupid questions?
Thank you

There's nothing wrong with him as a football player in 1968. However, if you are a university who wishes to distance yourself from controversial personages #5 and #32 will not be welcome on the sidelines regardless of their on-the-field achievements.
BTW, if not for your Gary Beban, #32 wins the first back to back Heisman Trophies, IMHO.
"Do you have anymore stupid questions?"
Yeah, will you be sitting with Eric Crouch?

Actually, I believe Archie Griffen won back-to-back Heismans (unfairly nosing out Anthony Davis in '74). Other great Trojans I would like to see at the game would be the other unnamed Heismans (Marcus Allen, Charlie White, Palmer, Leinart, and don't forget Garrett). How about Keyshawn? Not to mention some great linemen. And national championship quarterbacks Mike Rae, Pat Haden, Paul McDonald, Steve Soggee, and Pete Beathard.
and Pete Beathard

I am NOT an UCLA fan, thank you. Furthermore I don't need your freaking CFB lectures. I am well informed. BTW Anthony Davis got cheated out of a Heisman also. Go lecture a goat or USC 66.
Thank you

Pretty soon, Mark "The Nightstalker" Sanchez won't be welcome at USC games either. The Nightstalker will have transferred after never having started a single game at USC and will only be viewed as the rapist who was arrested while at USC, embarrassing everyone affiliated with the university. The Nightstalker will be a distant memory that no one in the USC athletic department will ever want to acknowledge.

Except for the last exercise in stupidity from "korat" those are some pretty sweet posts..
I would love to see Jerry Tagge too and Johnny Rogers and IM Hipp and Irving Fryar and Mike Rozier..hopefully they will all make it to see USC win hahaha..

Hey, how about Jamere Holland and Emanuel Moody? They're not playing this weekend.

How Do You Do!!
How about some great lineman like Anthony Munoz and Ron Yary, USC's only Outland Trophy Award winner and member of both College and Pro Hall of Fame? And Nebraska's Dave Rimington, the Husker's All-American center, who is the only two-time winner of the Outland Trophy!!
Fight On!!

Todd Marinovich could probably be there but he can't leave the state! Put Cole Ford on the Maybe list!
OJ can't make it because he is still looking for the killer!
Reggie Bush will probably be snubbed again and he'll turn around and finally tell the truth on his dealings with that agent!

Lawyer John......you are mistaken on why the option was scrapped. It was not because "speed kills" Miami.
Consider for a moment that the 1994 Huskers ran the option to a championship vs perhaps the best Defense ever assembeled when they beat Ray Lewis and Warren Sapp, no not the Balt Ravens, they have only played on the same team in college. They simply were overmatched by the option.
The Huskers were ran the option too fast for Ray and were too strong for Warren.
The loss in 2001 to Miami was no because of system, but because Miami had better players. That was one of Nebraska's weaker collection of offensive players, yet there were in the title game.
That season was a testament to how great that offense was, not how "speed kills".

Yes, this may be true, but last time I looked, 1968 came before 1974.
Just sayin'.

I hope former Husker Lawrence Phillips can make it. I know he never panned out with the Rams but LP could sure score TD's for Dr. Tom in Lincoln. What an exquisite student-athlete!

Maybe OJ can stand next to Lawrence Phillips and try not to slice his neck wide open like he did to those two white people.

13-9 AKA 44-27 Emerald Bowl
(The best game wedged between The Motor City Bowl and the Independence Bowl)
OJ was a model citizen while at USC. Phillips on the other hand just beat up
models....
Loved UCLA's offense in the 2nd Half vs. BYU. Good job! Good thing Utah is injured.
