Well, uh, that is a little like saying a baseball player is the next Willie Mays, or a basketball player is the next Larry Bird etc. I mean, Vince Young in college was all-world. You only get a Young, Matt Leinart, or Reggie Bush once every 10 years or so. I don't think this kid will quite join that elite company. But he is good.

Yeah, you only get one of those three guys who all played in 2005 once a decade. Only once. Or three times. Or, uh...wait....i mean.....

I sure hope someone took Jim Harbaugh's keys away from him. We know it wasn't Dorrell because the statement wasn't made with puppy dog eyes.

I think he has the potential to be. I've watched all of UDubs games so far this season and the kid's got skills.
He has a laser rocket arm (unlike Corp) with a nice delivery, is built like a truck already (unlike Corp) and guts(too soon to judge Corp on this one). There's a reason PC says he wanted him at USC. Could you imagine what PC could do with a strong, accurate QB that could also run? It would be unfair (even more unfair than it is now that is).
The only thing that might hold back Locker's development is the program he's in. Ty's never really been known as a QB guru.

Locker is going to be a great one.

Credit Ty for adjusting the offense to Locker though - they are definitiely using Locker's skills. The question is how much beating can he take. He was wobbly by the end of the UCLA game.

Is this the same Locker that just lost to the team that lost to the Utes 44-6?

Looks like we are catching him at a good time now in Seattle. Don't see how the Freshman leads UW to victory against the #1 team. 2009 could be interesting if Ty can get some more players.

I'm not worried about this year, or even next for that matter (USC' not losing to Washington at home). But 2009 is a concern. On the road at Washington with Locker in his Jr. year.
But who really knows what the status of the Pac will be by then? Maybe PC will be long gone after winning his 4th NC and Stanford will be the favorite to win the conference. That's why I just enjoy every USC game till that day comes.

This kid is going to be a stud. Real test for the D though to see how they can handle a running QB. That said SC will be fine!
