Stat to be aware of:

Turn-over margin:

#6 Cal +7 (4 games)
#1 USC -2 (3 games)

Kyle Moore (+3 or 75% of Trojan defensive turnovers) should be thanking Everson Griffin for lighting the fire.

...they seem to have gotten by without him that first drive.

Good to see Pete continue to lay down the law.

Good reporting, Scott.
Most other outlets reported that Byers was just giving O'Dowd a breather.

Bill,

Any criminal updates on my best client. I know how pumped he gets to commit more crimes after beating the juggernaut that is the Huskies.

Well I am the biggest Jeff Byers fan on this here board (because a cow-orker in Denver is friends with his family) and I noticed that right away. It was good to see Jeff snapping the ball and pass blocking without having to do all that communicating that PC laid on him for the first two games.

Scott, the next bit of superstar reporting you could do for us is to figure out why Sanchez's head doesn't seem to fit right in his helmet. I thought it was my TV at first, and then I realized I had a 46" Sony XBR3 so that probably wasn't the issue.

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
