More Penalty Talk

Washington coach Ty Willingham was asked about USC's 16 penalties.
``If I'm their coach I'm alarmed with that many penalties,'' he said. ``But at the same time I think our guys were playing and forcing some things. We probably could have got, they had 16 penalties? We probably could have got 32 on just holding alone because I think our guys were being aggressive and working and forcing them to do things.''

So he admits that his guys were holding? I was screaming that all day yesterday and was wondering why the officials weren't calling it.

Sed and LoJack repeatedly beat their blockers then wouldn't be able to get to Locker despite having no on except the guy riding their backs holding them. No calls, bad calls and turnovers yet USC wins.

The officiating yesterday was awful...

yeah again, another good post by tyler

I was screaming all day too I bet my neighbors think I am a lunatic

First of all, their O-line was holding all day they got called a couple of times on it but like Ty just admitted, they did it on every play

the personal foul call on Ellison was ridiculous

the pass interference call on taylor mays was even more ridiculous

even the personal foul call on S. Wright was pushing it

they were calling out cadence on ever snap making us jump, but they didn't get called even though we got that disconcerting call last week against us

when O'Dowd got hurt there should of been a call..the play was over and the washington d-player intentionally pushed him back over the pile knowing he would get hurt (his foot was pinned)

they must of found those refs living in a dumpster somewhere in seattle I am so sick of Pac 10 refs

Tyler I agree!
I was yelling at the tube also. No one can sit there and say Washington's O Line was that good. I saw at least ten plays where holding was not called.
I believe Vegas had a hand in this game. Friends of mine didn't believe me SC would cover the spread last week against WAZZU! Vegas lost money in that game and got it all back this week.

At the risk of stating the obvious, Ty's not admitting anything. He's suggesting they should be credited with causing the infractions by USC as his players were whipping us in his mind. In other words, he is saying we were holding etc. far more than we were called for as a result of being whipped by aggressive inspired players.

Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
