Nebraska Fever, Part II
Only 300 people showed up this morning at an Omaha hotel to hear Nebraska defensive coordinator Kevin Cosgrove speak. If you placed a Nebraska helmet at an intersection, you would probably cause a traffic jam for miles.
By the way, USC did not realize that the school it held its workout at -- Westside High -- is where Nebraska's top tailback commitment, Collins Okafor, attends school.

***From the Big Red Board-Please Read USC Coaches***
"I was at the Practice today at Westside HS. USC ran their first 15 scripted plays. Almost every one was either a misdirection run or a screen pass. Lots of short stuff into the flats."
Who needs videocameras when you have Children of the Corn watching your practices and posting details on Fan Boards?
Scott-
I heard rumblings that starting Nebraska Offensive Lineman Lydon Murtha missed the THU practice and is injured.
Any possibility this is true? Who would he be primarily blocking?
Maybe they did know and PC is on the recruiting trail...
I think his brother Emeka jumped center for the UConn Huskies...
USC would be dumb to run their first 15 scripted plays in order in hostile territory like that, so thats kinda hard to believe.
Scary thing is, short stuff to the flats and misdirection runs sounds just like USC's early playcalling and if USC tries that in Lincoln tomorrow, the game will not go so great. USC does best when they try and stretch the field.
Scott, I also have a great question about Travon Patterson - USC is lacking a speedy, deep threat, but if Patterson is healthy, can't he fill that role???
i like how "04Trojan" calls his question "great"...and then it turns out to be pretty boring.
I think it is a great question because if we have someone available who can fill that role, why are constantly lacking a deep threat in games? Is Patterson not good enough, not ready? It might seem boring, but it is still a good question.
I would have to tend to agree that the question should not be characterized as "great." In fact, I think it probably should be classified as "boring" or "bad." An example of a great question is, "What came first, the chicken or the egg?" A Travon Patterson question surely does not rise to the level of this greatness.
Nebraska fever causes you to break into a hotel room in Vegas to steal memorabilia.
You have not paid a dime, if you need memorabilia, just buy is!
First of all Bill, learn proper grammar; your last sentence made no sense.
Secondly, you Bruins know a thing or two about breaking and entering.
Lastly, no need to steal UCLA memorabilia...unless you want that 2006 Sun Bowl Trophy.
Burglary is one thing. Armed robbery is a completely other.
Oh yeah, and slicing peoples' heads off isn't really looked highly upon either.
At least he won the Heisman!! Fight on!!
I shouldn't have blown off my Spanish and English classes at LA Trade Tech like all football players were doing! Maybe I could write better!
He hasn't paid the Goldmans a dime so he can afford to buy memorabilia. He doesn't need to go in with guns to steal it!
