Never Too Soon
Some teams are still waiting to start the season but within the coaching community, there is already a group keeping an eye on the Arizona job, convinced Mike Stoops is on the way out with an early stumble against BYU an ominous sign.

Hi Scott
I got a Q for ya...you have posted several times:
"I don't think USC will win a NC without Norm Chow."
I appreciate your honesty. There is nothing worse than the ND fans who still think it's 1926 and EVERYONE in the country wants to see ND and Knute Rockne on some kind of retarded barnstorming tour, and Charlie Weis is a better coach than Pete Carroll and ND Will win 10 games this year.
So...How do you fix that then? Since we are talking coaching changes in your post..can you throw out a name? Since we won't get Chow back is there another option? Or should we just shut down the fooball program now?
OK sorry for the sarcasm. I think Chow is awesome too but we might suprise ya and win a NC
:o))

Ole Stoopsy thought he'd take that Big 12 mentality to the soft Big 10 and bring the whoop a$$.
Meanwhile. now he's fighting with Erickson in the Desert for USC's and UCLA's rejects. I think Bob
needs you back at OU anyways. Thanks for playing, Mike!

Neither one of the Stoops show me much class. I really don't care is he loses his job. If he stays, we'll just keep on beating him, and hopefully his brother again sometime.

What does Stoops acquire, talent-wise, about the 7th or 8th best athletes in the Pac-10? And what place does Arizona probably end up? Sounds as if Stoops is doing as good of a job as can be expected.

When you mention coaching circles, might you be referencing an OC office in Nashville, TN?
Could Harbaugh switch that quickly? After all, Stanford only lost by 21 points (give or take) to ucla, but at least it was a Pac-10 school.
What type of coach of UofA be looking for?

What type of coach would be most suited for the UofA program?
> experienced HC?
> offensive mindset?
> defensive mindset?
> recruiter?
> media guru?

Just watching Stoops on the sideline - who would want to play for a crybaby like that? I'll bet the game officals would pay to get rid of him. Me, I like him. He gives us a run-of-the-mill team to beat every year.
If AU should decide to change, it would be smart to go for a MATURE (not necessarily old) experienced head coach. I'll bet the players doubt themselves with all his petty rants. If they don't decide to change, someone should give him a supply of pacifiers.
So, anyone else delighted with the success of Ty Willingham, and the stumbling of Weiss? Poetic justice after a an unjustified dismissal by ND. But, I'm always delighted at anything Notre Dame negative -- especially in a year when we have to go there to play.
Yah, FIGHT ON!

I'm with you SC73Tom. But what can you expect from Kevin White, ND's AD? He acted prematurely with the lifetime contract extension for fat-man too. Arguably he (fat-man) didn't have a chance to recruit his first year, but if he doesn't turn it around next year (when his 2nd recruiting class will be juniors), he should get the same treatment as Ty. But White has a legacy of poor decisions, ala lying George O'Leary of the 5 day tenure, so I guess Mr. Morbidly Obese gets a pass.
Even though I hate ND, I always want the game to be meaningful ... not as much fun ruining a nice fall day for them by winning at their house when then stink. And this year they REALLY stink. I just hope Clausen holds up until Oct 20 to get pile-drived into that overgrown, midwestern cow-pasture all day long.

Sorry but "Bill" is cracking me up...
The UCLA guys are all the same..like made with cookie cutters and dough..
Just come one here with some totally unoriginal name, like "bill" or "something-Bruin" and post totally unoriginal hate:
"Uh..without Chow you will never win!"
"13-9"
"Let's call it the..umm..Pete blew it era!!"
"You will lose next week vs. (fill in the blank with weekly team) because of injuries!!"
Like the energizer bunny...just keeps going and going and going..
