No Moves

USC coach Pete Carroll said he will not move any players to offensive line or cornerback.
``There's no one to move (to the offensive line),'' Carroll said. ``And we have (cornerback) Vincent Joseph and Cary (Harris) might be back this week.''

Looks like Gable is sure to transfer out then, along with Bradford.

They would each have 2 years of eligibility left to play for Fresno State or UNLV after this year and redshirting during their transfer year in 2008.

How bout them Cowboys?

Yeah, because C. J. Gable came to USC to play cornerback. What a tool.

Hey Redcorn: Maybe the coaches (who know more about football than you do) talked it over, maybe even conferred with CJ, and they decided it wasn't the best thing to do. While I liked the idea of CJ to corner, I think I trust Coach Carroll.

Gable isn't being neglected, he is struggling with that chronic groin issue... per PC

So we should never ever question a coaches decision? Let's just agree with every single thing they do and just say that they know more than us and they're never wrong That's stupid! I'd love CJ as a corner. With Chauncey, McKnight and Stafon at RB, Gable isn't going to get any time at RB. If he's smart, he'd know that if he moves to CB, he'll get more PT

usc498: That's not what I'm saying at all. Its just funny everyone on this board (and others) that get all wrapped up and upset over things as if they knew more than Coach Carroll and his staff. Most USC fans just can't enjoy the success and have to worry about everything.

Hey PH55
For a year and a half now I've been questioning Booty at the helm. This Louisiana spy is our achilles heel and for some reason the coaches don't see it. A leader on a team would openly admit that his stuff wasn't on tonight than make lame excuses like "the ball was wet and I couldn't get control." Thats all ego talking. An unselfish player will openly come out and say "coach, I don't have it tonight put so and so in. He might do better." Just like the player in the movie Remember the Titans who took himself out to put Petey in in the second half of the championship.
Booty cost the Trojans the championship last year with his lackluster play against UCLA and my gut feeling says he might cough up a game or two this year. I truly hope this won't be the case.
I've enjoyed the success of the last 6 years and I hope it doesn't end. But we are not talking just having 9 and 10 win seasons here. These are championship seasons and I just don't trust Booty with the ball.

Well something tells me if Coach Carroll thought they would be better served with someone else he would make a change. Sanchez hasn't exactly lit it up against the scrubs in the couple games he has gotten into.

rojo seems like the best call for cb. it doesn't seem like rojo is impacting the wr position enough not to move him to cb.

they could move joemac to wr/rb for that breakaway threat.
