Pac-10 Vs. SEC
Former Oregon and current Kentucky coach Rich Brooks told the Seattle Times today the following about the two conferences.
"The SEC is like playing in the Pac-10 with four or five USCs."

About Inside USC
Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC
graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for
the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet
message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this
moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in
antagonizing the "Internet geeks."

He said the same thing on Jim Rome's radio show Thursday.
What do you think he's going to say? He coaches in the SEC now and his last memory of coaching against USC was when John Robinson was the coach and I was still in college.
second that SCStraegies
He is in the SEC now he is towing the company line..what do you think he is going to say?
"the pac 10 is better"
he would get lynched and his house burned
Maybe he's right. There are a lot of talented yet inconsistent teams in the SEC. Just like USC in the late 80's and early 90's.
Well, Les, do you see the top 5 this week?
In fact, do you see the top 3?
1. LSU (SEC)
2. USC (Pac-10, not Pac-9!)
3. Cal (Pac-10)
If, or maybe when(?), Florida beats LSU, USC vs. Cal will be No. 1 vs. No. 2
That would be amazing.
But Florida is not even the best team in the state.
Right now, the Big 3 of The U, FSU, and UF are being laughed at by USF! Can you believe that USF is at #5? WTF!!!!!
UCF and FIU are also growing powerful.
Man, SC needs more Florida talent like BMW and Keith "I was a bust for my first 2 years in college" Rivers!
I think he was referring more to the fact that since 1980, five SEC teams have won an NC (Georgia, LSU, Florida, Tennessee and Alabama, with Auburn being in the mix in 2004) while from the Pac-10 USC has won an NC (maybe two, if you count U-Dub getting robbed during the Steve Entman era). I have agree with him, except for USC for the simple reason there is no pac 10 program that is expected to compete for an NC year-after-year.
Let's face it, they have a championship game, which is often played at an intensity like an extra BCS game. We don't. Sure, they also front load on 1AA opponents and home games, and the Pac 10 plays a round-robin schedule, but they have a point with the
I also think it's telling that it's not an argument of the SEC versus the Big Ten or the Big Twelve.
Rich Brooks has to say that considering the conference he is in now! Although he will be the first to tell you it took him about 10 years to get Oregon to the Rose Bowl. Deep inside he knows which conference is better!
Jim Rome said LSU and maybe Florida were USC's equals and asked Brooks to name the others. Brooks just stammered and basically looked like an idiot backpedaling.
Real classy Redcorn you jackass. How can you rip a Keith Rivers who is a potential All American this year, was a defensive leader last. You can't call someone a bust just because they did not dominate in their first two years. But then again, its hard to argue with an idiot like yourself.
They are right the SEC is way more powerful. I mean Florida lost to Auburn who is just a power house. Everyone was saying Auburn was not that good going into that game, but give them a break. They lost last week to the power house that is Miss. St. You know the SEC team that has not been to a bowl since 2000. The reason they have more National Titles is cause they don't have to play everyone in there conference every year. It is the most overrated conference by far. I mean Kentucky beats a crap Louisville team and they are how high now? That team will lose 3 games for sure before its all said and done. Look at 2 of the upper tier teams in that conference in Auburn and Arkansas. We were 4-0 against them, and all 4 except for the first one against Auburn were blowouts! The SEC is a joke, and Florida proved that last week.
Brooks must have been referring to the minor USC (South Carolina.)
Redcorn, you are kicked off the internet.
Chil,
I agree. This lunacy is perpetuated by Media, BCS, pots full of money to pay the "Sisters of the Poor" to bend over and dumb ass fans with short memories that don't know any better, and watching some boring schilzt.
