Shotgun Talk
The shotgun formation’s been pretty non-existent since true freshman Kris O’Dowd took over at center because he needed time to learn the basics. But O’Dowd said the Trojans practiced the formation Tuesday.
``We did it for the first time,’’ O’Dowd said. ``But I have no idea if it’s part of the game plan.’’

OJ is in enough trouble without bringing a shotgun into the mix. Hand guns were bad enough!
Lame Joke Bill is your new name. OJ is history...
O'Dowd did an outstanding job against Nebraska, and he's on his way to becoming an All-American. This offensive line is becoming legendary. Just ask the SC boyz from the 70's, they were the sh*t. Reign On...
I just don't want to be like ND and have the ball go flying 10 ft over booty's head on national TV
Hey Bill, after 44-6, you bRuins have NOTHING more to say on this blog! Just your logging in here is insulting. We don't care (actually never have) what if anything you have to say. It's not constructive, it never was and it never will be, so get F'n lost!
First, I have never identified SC football with the shotgun formation. The shotgun seems somewhat amateurish. But I believe our boys should know how to utilize it because it might be needed under unusual circumstances i.e. if the line is having difficulty protecting Booty.
Second, regarding UCLA people commenting on this SC blog, I take it as a compliment. Let's face it, there are two types of sports fans-- those who hate SC and those who love SC. Would you want it any other way?
I"m a big fan of O'Dowd.
That's why I went to this topic, since it's about him.
Has anyone seen O'Dowd practice the shotgun?
