Sunday Night Analysis

USC coach Pete Carroll on the Washington State rout: ``We've started to balance out. We've figured out what some guys are about and getting guys to where they should be.''
Carroll admitted being concerned about USC's turnover ratio.
``It's not the way I'd like. If I knew (how to end it), I'd stop it,'' he said.

If Coach Carroll is on it - then no worries from me.

Maybe this year, the defense needs to write a book report on "the inner game of tennis."

Have the DBs workout with the QBs as receivers instead of catching balls off the pitch machines. There were two sure in-their-hands interceptions that the DBs dropped on Saturday and two more interception drops last week against Nebraska.

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
