Surviving Scare

Quarterback Mark Sanchez threw again Friday and hit his hand but suffered no problems.
"He was concerned at first but then realized it didn't hurt him,'' USC coach Pete Carroll said.

Say what you will about Sanchez, but recall that Palmer and Leinart were no great shakes at the start of their careers. And I don't want to feel the season lies in the balance with Booty's health. Some players are simply not good practice players, and if needed in a game, Mark could surprise.

I have heard of players who are great in practice but collapse in game situations. I have never heard of a player who is horrendous in practice and scrimmage situations, yet excels in a game situation.

I don't think Booty is going to win the Heisman and I certainly don't think he is the best QB in the country. With Booty at the helm, USC can go anywhere from 10-3 to 12-1 this year, but will never go undefeated. With Sanchez at the helm, USC could easily lose at least five or six games. Booty is very good but not great. Sanchez is a liability on the field and everyone should pray nothing happens to Booty this year.

Booty is good, but so is Sanchez. Give this guy a chance, OK? Sanchez has played about 10 seconds in real game competition ... how can you form an opinion about him when he hasn't had a real chance yet? Besides, we got to get Sanchez ready, because if Booty gets hurt, Sanchez is the next best thing. He's athletic and can make plays.

One other thing: Cut the cryin' already! Isn't our team No. 1 in the nation? Let's find something else to complain about besides a team that has ruled college football the past 4-5 years now, and sets the standard for everybody else (especially the gutless little bruins) to look up to and copy.

Hey, Nebraska is looking terrible! Awesome.

Also, yes, whiniest group of commenters on the internet.

Not to mention there is a bunch of football experts on here who never even played a down of football in their life. I know, I know Charlie Weis never played either. Let me ask you this… Do you guys have frontal asses too?

Everyone should listen to LBC ROB, he is knows of what he speaks - Cory Paus played football and that means he can lead any college football team to 15 consecutive national championships!

Paus for Coach!!!!!!!

At least Cory Paus would keep the underaged players out of the University Club!

Drink On!

Great Bill maybe then he could go and help the UCLA kickers like Justin Medlock who seem to have a little problem with drinking and rolling cars..

Since your telling me he's such a great guy maybe after that he could talk to the University and get that free parking thing fixed..

And being that he's such a Mr. Helper and can help keep Sanchez out of bars, maybe he could the UCLA women's softball team with their scandal..

Or maybe he could talk to the UCLA football department and help them figure out why they have never won a NC..

forget it there's too many problems at UCLA to fix..

Another completely retarded post from Bill..that's 10 and counting..

Nebraska sux!!

hahahahahahaha

1 DOWN AND 11 TO GO FOR ANOTHER USC NC!!
