Tackling Dummy
Washington State's defeated USC just eight times, but one of those victories was over Peter Caesar Carroll (2002).
However, the legendary Howard Jones lost three times to the Cougars. Among the former USC coaches who never lost to the Cougars are Elmer Henderson (2 victories), Jess Hill (6 victories), John McKay (8 victories) and Larry Smith (5 victories).

Comments
President Richard Nixon was a tackling dummy when he played ball at Whittier College and look how succesful he turned out to be. Go Poets!
He was the original Whittier Whiz, Wolfie!

Did you see where Camarillo High School broke a record last night, winning for the first time in 45 games? Stats did not matter to those boys because they knew stats do not win ballgames.

Statistics are for mathematicians, not athletes. Camarillo High School broke a record last night, winning for the first time in 45 games! Those kids were not enslaved by history; they lived for the present and were successful.

More Domer Woes:
I saw even Notre Dame HS (Sherman Oaks) lost last night to Birmingham HS.
UCLA commit Milton Knox led the Patriots to victory. The Knights QB will get a real taste of Notre Dame next year as he has comitted to play in South Bend under Weis (ouch!) next year.

I've been saying it for years. USC needs to bring Larry Smith back.
The guy could flat out coach - enough of this happy-go lucky, eternal optimism, great opportunities to improve, let's all compete, mumbo jumbo Pete's been preaching.
