About The Grass

| | Comments (9) |

Notre Dame coach Charlie Weis was asked about the grass today.
``No, I don't have any comment. The only thing, and I will comment on one thing. I knew that in that game, and I remember Desmond Reed got hurt in that game, OK, and no way do you ever want a player getting hurt from another team for any reason. But this is the Midwest, and we're going to play five games in a row at home. That's where we are right now.

``Now, fortunately this is only game two. But it isn't like our grass grows like we're living in the south. It is what it is. It's patchy and it's not the same as playing on Bermuda grass in the south.
What might be perceived as somebody -- it isn't like we were playing on field turf; I don't think that would go over too well in Notre Dame tradition. It's grass, it's mid-October, it's not as perfect as it would be earlier in the year. That's just the way it is.''

I don't think we need to worry so much about the grass this time. Rumor has it that ever since ol' Charlie Tuna got his tummy tuck and went on his new diet he's been doing a fair amount of grazing out there. It should be nice and trimmed.

Hey

The guy who showed up in a stretch hummer limo flashing his Championship rings and said "WE WILL NEVER LOSE TO USC IF I AM QB" just got benched for Evan Sharpley

HAHAHAHAHH I needed a good laugh today...

Ah, but that's exactly why Charlies benched him. If Clausen pickel boy is not QB, then ND CAN lose to SC without making pickel boy a liar. Logical

In othe words, expect the grass to be just as high as it was 2-years ago, because that helped us to almost beat SC.

Justice will be served if Desmond runs back a punt or takes a screen pass to the house. That's what I'm hoping for...plus a dominating Trojan win of course. No doubt the D will show up, hope Stafon is ready to carry the load. Sanchez, just don’t pull a Kevin Riley.

Greasy Cheeseburger Charlie will once again try to pull out all the stops and every trick in his rather overly-inflated bag to try to give his team a competetive advantage....But at the rate his current roster is deserting him, I wouldnt be suprised to see a few of his own ND O-linemen try to change Uni's before the game and ask Coach Ruel for the line calls. That program must be beyond pathetic with The Big Cheese with 17 players leaving the team since he was hired. Then again, most of their O-linemen would barely get PT on our scout team so it wouldnt work out anyway.
Has anyone asked The Ego (Jimmy C) about that stoic statement about winning 4 NC's in 4 years at ND>??!! I guess hes a normal 18 year old ego-driven athlete with lots of wishful thinking in his head. Atleast his tough Independent Conference schedule is helping him develop as a player to be able to play on sundays.......those Army, Navy, AF defenses must give him great experience at reading defenses and making the right plays so he can get used to big-boy football.....

I won’t lie, the way this team has been getting hurt this year; this scares the living hell out of me. Shows the class level of this phony Weis too!! Any coach that would put kid’s heath and future for that matter in harms way to gain a tactical advantage, including his own has no place on amateur sports. To then after lie about it is insulting
