Back To Notre Dame
We've previously mentioned Notre Dame recruits wavering and showing interest in USC, but it's debatable if the Trojans would be interested in QB Dayne Christ right now because junior Matt Barkley of Mater Dei appears to heavily favor USC.
A Pac-10 recruiting coordinator told me Barkley is the best junior or senior QB prospect on the West Coast.

Barkley seems to be the real deal, and it wouldn't make sense to take Christ with Mustain, Sanchez, and Corp all with multiple years of elegibility.

Harkens back to the halcyon Marinovich days when the IN TODD WE TRUST signs were ubiquitous at the Coliseum.
No doubt if Dane goes to 'SC Cal Fan will break out the CRUCIFY CRIST signs in Berkley. Godless dirty hippies!

Christ would be the perfect 5th string back-up QB for the Trojans right behind Mustain/Sanchez (or Sanchez/Mustain), Corp, and fellow Notre Dame alum Garrett Green.
