Booty Better
John David Booty threw again Wednesday and said his finger felt better and there was no significant swelling. Most passes were about 20 yards.
Pete Carroll said if Booty feels great Saturday he could play but it also sounds like Mark Sanchez will be the starter right now.
"There's no question John can play," Carroll said. "(But) we're preparing Mark to be the starter."
Pete is a genius. Even if he did think JDB was ready to go he's not going to just give him back the starting position. He is going to make him earn it. He repeatedly keeps saying Sanchez will be the starter even if Booty is ready. I think this is a not so subtle hint to Booty that if and when he gets his second chance that he will be on a short leash. This way he gets to start a very motivated Sanchez and if he can't handle it, in comes Booty with something to prove and I hope he finally will.
