By The Way

That booster who had no business being in the coaches' box against Stanford and got into an argument with an official was conspicuously absent from the sideline at the Arizona game. Maybe the program is making progress.

Scott Wolf just cannot avoid injecting his sarcasm into any bit of SC news. And he is too old and egotistical to change his ways. Quite frankly, I don't read his column because of his negativity, but I do look at the blog and especially the comments, because the comments can be informative and entertaining.

Hey Scott, would you be pleasantly or unpleasantly surprised if USC started to play better over the final weeks of the season as they get Cushing back and some of the other wounded players (Johnson, Baker, Booty, etc.) are able to return to the field? It almost seems as if you are rooting for disaster to happen. Aren't sportswriters supposed to act like they are from Switzerland - you know, always neutral? It seems like you have a bone to pick with Pete Carroll or something. Others have written about it in the blog before, but the negativity has really grown in recent weeks. Everybody's got an opinion, and that's mine.

Scott, who cares ?

yeah I like what has happened over the past few days scott..I think it is finally sinking in that they have to work to win the NC, even though everyoen tried to hand it to them before the season started.

With Rachal Cushing Booty Johnson and (hopefully) O'Dowd back this week we are gonna kill ND

Scott, do yourself and us a favor, get over it: Matt Leinart is not interested in you, so stop hating him and SC and accept the fact that Matt is heterosexual.

Not sure why you guys are attacking Scott here. He's got a good point: boosters don't belong on the field arguing with the refs during a game, period. That's way out of line, unusual, occurred during a very high-profile game and thus newsworthy. I'm actually glad that I know about it as it demonstrates that SC is eliminating distractions.

this is just a general comment... seriously, I have been a faithful reader of this blog for about 1 year, and I am finding Scott Wolf's recent entries to be a big turnoff... the snide comments, the negative remarks, the out of context comparisons, the false information(occasionally), the poor journalistic skills. Please go back to reporting on the team in an unbiased manner and use your information to provide the public with some good insights. I am sure that I am not alone on this...

Well if Johnny Be Good taught me anything it's:

Boosters = No Good

Scott Wolf

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
