Caesar Club

The current combined record of Syracuse, Ole Miss and the Raiders is 5-14. For the uninitiated, those are Pete Carroll's close friends (Greg Robinson) or former assistants (Ed Orgeron, Lane Kiffin). Maybe it's unfair to include Kiffin, in his first season but he has the best record of the trio.

Hey Scott:

Just thought you might want to take a quick look at this. From Tom Daniels, www.wearesc.com.

(And I will preface this by saying that, the main part of his article is devoted to the death of a close friend so he probably was pretty emotional while writting)

It stinks: Trojan fans have to wade through Scott Wolf’s ego before getting to any relevant information regarding the program.

It stinks: Wolf knows so little but speaks so much. An example might be his reference to blocked kicks in practice this week, following the missed extra point in last Saturday’s game. If he bothered to ask he’d find the root of the problem, which has been cured, and not go after the kicker.

It stinks: Even more Wolf revels in going after Trojan players and coaches of past and present. Then cries foul when “fan sites” like this one rally around the program.

Not commenting either way on this...just posting it.

Okay Wolfie, maybe we should replace PC with Chow.

And I hear he once met Dolphins coach Cam Cameron, who is 0-5.

Monte Kiffin is 4-2 with the Tampa Bay Bucs. Shouldn't he be included as well?

And I guess you, Mr. Garrison and Latka can form the Wolf Club...

I agree, weak post Scott. Who cares what other coaches are doing just because they have a connection to Pete Carroll. Both of the college coaches are in almost impossible situations (esp. Syracuse) and Lane Kiffin is coaching one of the worst teams and actually doing very well by most people's standards. If all three were a combined 15-4, Pete Carroll wouldn't deserve any credit for it either, just to be fair. Let's stick to reasonable USC topics shall we.

How is this relevant to USC football?

Where did the references to P.C. as "Caesar" and "Roman Meal" come from ? What are the meaning of these ? I have seen references to this before. Fight On.. and trounce the Irish !

Scott Wolf

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
