Changes Ahead

The legions are letting down Caesar on special teams. There will be probably be changes on the punt return team this week following three penalties against Notre Dame.
``It's too costly,'' Carroll said. ``Those are things we can fix.''

I really don't see what the uproar about special teams is. USC will never be VaTech. PC just doesn't care that much about special teams. It's not like USC has given up a TD on special teams in every game this year. I don't get it...

There are broken parts therefore you fix them>that simple...

Penalties kill momentum. Penalties can obliterate a long punt return, or a touchdown. Penalties are correctable. It is a big deal, and Pete is right to do what he is doing. The Trojans can improve on EVERY area. That's actually a good thing, since it means if it can be corrected, they will play better over the final (tougher) games of the season.

With ALL due respect:
Where were you 6 Oct 07?
Please allow me to answer. Stanford blocked an extra point that turned out to be huge or crucial if you like that fancy word. Had USC scored that point it would have forced Stanford to go for a two points conversion.
Do you dig my friend?
I am NOT throwing this in your face BTW. Like I said earlier there are broken parts in the system. Therefore the
margin for error(s) have become a lot smaller. Like they say in the south it is "broke", fix it and PC will fix it! Last but NOT least if there is room for improvement address the problems during practice. The players time to chill out is the second week in January 2008. 38-0 is great. There's a lot of work to be done...
Thanks

Pete needs to hire a special teams coach. It's embarassing to watch the cream of the D-I crop look like bafoons on special teams each week. Good special teams play can mean the difference between winning and losing and they need to get it corrected.

DUH.

Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
