How can you blame SS. He can only do so much with Sanchez. Maybe the reason why the play calling is conservative is because of Sanchez.

Sorry but the only Quarterback you have that is worth anything is Sanchez. Booty is a pussy who is afraid to get hit and not smart enough to throw the ball away when he is in trouble. Sarkissian has no idea how to call a game. You need to make yardage to make touchdowns so your brain trust calls runs up the middle that make a couple yards or loose a couple yards. Sanchez has the arm and accuracy to hit the end zone but that would make him look good and Booty to look bad. You figure it out.

listen, mark's performance on that last touchdown drive PROVES it. the kid has an arm - and when he's got nothing to lose he nails it. Sark doesn't have the confidence and he runs those lame running plays even when they continue to not work.

and I will take those 2 interceptions and all of that heart over the dozens of freaking sacks we would have suffered at the hands (hand) of Booty. Sanchez is exciting, if dangerous. I'll take the dangerous.

Sanchez is a liability out there. This game should never have even been that close. But if you go to the score prediction thread, you'll see I called it fairly accurately. Sanchez is not the answer. Booty is not the answer. This year is a failure. Time to start the Mustain bandwagon.

voodoo, booty's inability to scramble and hide where he is throwing is the liability. does everyone forget his lovely and costly interceptions? he would have been sacked 30 times with this quick oregon defense. the guy runs like he has concrete shoes. sanchez picked up some short yards here & there to keep things going and made a tight pass or 2 under immense pressure. not to mention booty has ZERO long game... ZERO. we were just shown - when the deep play is called (that's the key here), mark can throw it.

hey movie boy.... she's a UCLA season ticket holder. i know because i go to their games with her, except when my dad does, which is when SC plays there.

he's the alum in my family, 3 years Varsity track. i just grew up between Fraternity Row & campus.

We were spoiled by Leinart and Co. The entire team has looked average at best the entire season. All the "great" recruits have looked lost. They are undisciplined which is a sure sign that they are not a well coached team. I hope to see a new coaching staff next year. Let's hope Mustain is better than Booty and Sanchez?

His first interception resulted in an Oregon touchdown.

His second interception sealed the win for Oregon rather than tying it for USC.

Sanchez is a joke.

USC played a good game and lost a road game to a better team. The Trojans had numerous opportunities to make game-winning plays and faltered or were stopped.

I will support USC in whatever Bowl they end up in. Look, Florida and Texas are having sub par seasons too. Who knows, maybe they run the table and sneak in to the Fiesta Bowl with an at large.

First off I agree with you "SeniorEditor" about your comments--we are TOTALLY UNDISCIPLINED on BOTH SIDES of the ball. That IS a coaching problem that PC refuses to confront or attempt to take care of because hes too busy trying to stay BFF's with all his players instead of coaching and disciplining guys when they need it.

This SC team has looked the same all year long---TOO many penalties, Off Line too banged up, RBs are inconsistent, WR's cant catch AND OR run wrong/bad routes, and our pass defense is unbelievably soft.

I CANT STAND PC's cover-2 "bend but dont break" defense--we BREAK WAY TOO OFTEN then we bend. Nick Holt is PC's puppet-coach, so our blitz packages are terrible because were too worried about being beat deep....so why do we recruit DBs that run 4.4 40's???
This is a ROSTER with LOTS of talent, but IT IS NOT A "GREAT" T-E-A-M. Oregon proved that today, they dont have all the talent, but they are coached well, they execute well, and they PLAY up to their potential. Something we havent seen really in a year and a half. Lets hope this changes next year...........?

To all of you Bruin "bear cubs": the Trojans will dismember you at the Coliseum this year; it's the only thing they have left this season. On another note, it's frustrating to see a USC team with this much talent play so poorly. I guess all those five star recruits have one star between their ears. Why does coach Carroll bother to play Chauncey and Desmond reed? Neither of the two has any physical talent.

Sanchez's interceptions cost us dearly. He's simply not a starting QB who can carry the team on his back. I don't even know if we can make it to the Holiday Bowl at this point. It would be a reach to finish second in the PAC-10.

When the heck does Mustain become eligible? He's our only hope at this point. I've seen both Booty and Sanchez, and neither one of them will will ever be the great USC quarterback.

ogdocvato, here's how that game's gonna go:

if we start Booty, they'll do him like they did last year: sack him a few times early so he gets scared and just heaves the ball anywhere. then they win.

if we start Sanchez, we better hope the Bruins kidnap Sarkesian as a prank, and forget to let him go in in time for the game.

If the bruins kidnapped Sarkisian, that may actually help SC to win....because mayyybe they could get our dearly departed true-offensive-genuis-OC Norm Chow wired up on the headsets from his home and its back to Trojan dominance!
