Howell Cleared
Not all the injury news is bad. Offensive lineman Nick Howell, who was told he would miss the season following hernia surgery, was cleared to practice Monday.
Offensive guard Chilo Rachal and tailback Stafon Johnson are also expected to play against Notre Dame.
Um, what's going on here? This is good news. Is there something wrong? Did all the Stars align?
By the end of practice this week he'll either be in the hospital or in the starting lineup.
Two lineman back? Thats good news!
Stafon Johnson back? Thats friggin awesome news for an offense that continues to need a boost every week.

I just re-watched the Arizona game. Guys were dropping all over. USC needs to get healthy, especially o-linemen.
Did I read correctly that SC is a 19 point favourite and UCLA was favoured over Cal?
The SC line is correct, although the odds have fallen down as low as 17 1/2; the Bruins' game has no line, probably because of the quarterback question. But certainly Cal would be favored, probably by about 10 I would guess, no matter who the Bruins threw in there.
Glad to see some of the boys getting back. But time is short-- the regular season is over 6-weeks from Saturday!
