Come on Sanchez, show me what you're working with!
I've been asking to see Sanchez for a year and a half now. I hope he proves me right. If MS can't play well with a full game opportunity, calls for MM may be justified.

McKnight fumbled once again. That can't be. Scott Wolf says he must get major minutes immediately or else he is a bust. No middle ground allowed for development Wolfie ? Often it seems you say outrageous things because you want the attention

Its amazing how the culture at USC has changed under Pete Carroll. When he first came it was unheard of that so many freshmen played. Now its expected for them to play and if they don't become major award candidates by the 5th game they are busts. Gotta love Wolfie's consistency.

Hey Scott, great blog, will help with this horrible loss. I think we need to keep calm. We will be okay, Pete needs to take control and its interesting that he is struggling in doing so.
What's the deal with booty(not injury) but why does he suck so bad? Is it intelligence ... or what.
does anyone think Sanchez can actually come in right now and make a difference?

Don't you think there's a reason Sanchez hasn't gotten any playing time over the last two seasons? From everything I've read about his performances in practice and scrimmages, he simply isn't as good as we thought he would be. If he plays this week, I hope he proves me wrong, but I'm going to go ahead and defer to the coaching staff that works with him every day rather than a bunch of chowderhead blog commenters, many of whom probably weren't USC fans before 2002.

Yeah Captain Kangaroo, JDB had clearly established himself as a great practice QB, and a favorite amongst the coaching staff, which has also translated well to the game field. It seems the coaching staff has somewhere along the way lost its ability to evaluate talent on the practice field. Like Weis, maybe they should go back to square one. There’s no way of telling how Sanchez will perform in a game situation, just like there no way with Booty, since there is clearly an inconsistency between practice and game performance with him. We’ve had 4 games to evaluate Booty on the field, and it has been a resounding disappointment. I think testing Sanchez for a half can’t hurt that bad. There has been nothing in Booty’s performance that would make us believe, even half-heartedly, that he could do any better. If he at least had a sense of remorse rather than smugness, I would be willing to test him against another poor opponent. However, at this point we’ve got to losing teams to test the waters with Sanchez before we hit the difficult part of the schedule. GO SANCHEZ!
p.s., I went through the dreadful '90's.

Are you really suggesting that USC take the Notre Dame approach to coaching? Really? That worked really well for them, so I guess I can see your point...
