I'm a Sanchez guy, but bottom line he wasn't exactly Lou Gehrig replacing Wally Pipp on Saturday.

With JDB, USC has won the PAC 10 and won a Rose Bowl.
I see Booty at least guiding the team to the Sun or Holiday Bowl and who knows if the Trojans catch a break. Sanchez it too risky and any bowl worse than a Sun Bowl is unacceptable.

Oh sh*t, here we go again, I hear JDB took all the 1st team snaps today. No mobility, lots of sacks, no leadership "X" factor when things are tough, lots of batted down balls, misfiring on deep passes. This is not the solution, but a sign of desperation by a coaching staff reaching for solutions!

But, don't get me wrong, I have all the respect in the world for JDB. And, maybe, since the Sugar Bowl is gone and the Rose Bowl is a longshot, we owe it to the 5th year senior to put him back in to finish out his career on the field. I think with his experience that he does make quicker, better reads on the short slants and outs in traffic....he runs Sark's offense more "by the book" due to experience. The problem is that running Sark's offensive "by the book" means running plays that the other Pac-10 Def coordinatorss have seen for the last 5 years and made adjustments for. Which means that they will find ways to lock down Freddie, defend the short slants, outs, curls and screens, and contain much of the running game, which all just apply more pressure on Booty. And, under pressure, Booty takes sacks, throws picks, and does not inspire the troops.

OSU will be the BEST defense that we have played this year, and I am sure that Riley will have his boys licking their chops for 2 in a row against the recently dethroned kings of the P10.

Don't get me wrong, I love my Trojans, and sincerely hope that JDB is the solution. But, I am fairly certain that Mark gives us our best chance to win on Sat and this 2nd QB change is the sign of a coaching staff desperately reaching for answers. I genuinely hope that I am wrong. Find a running game and a vertical passing game, Sark! Sanchez, keep your chin up, you may be back yet this season! Lick the Beavers!

I am glad we have two QBs whohave the potential to win the rest of the schedule. Seems the central issue on offense is whether the play calling script is less predictable, and more responsive to what is happening on the field.

Well, just read the Monday practice report, and at least Sark explained the McKnight 4th and 1 and his conservative playcalling with Sanchez. Most interesting was when he shared that UO was running a "bracket" coverage on Freddie D with a safety and linebacker double covering him. Brilliantly executed by Oregon! And, I am sure that this is much easier said than done, but why did't we determine that coverage in the first half and make adjustments to exploit it? I'm thinking basic crossing patterns, maybe using Ausberry to cross the middle with Freddie and hopefully be wide open. Or, drag Joe or Stan across the middle to see if it frees up Freddie.

Of course, I am not qualified to devise offensive schemes. I'm at least very much comforted to hear that Sark does have a logical rationale for all of his strategic decisions. Supposedly, they even emphasized the shotgun and Stafon in practice today! Nice moves, coaches. But, I still don't think that JDB is going to help, although I am will be cheering loudly for him. And, Mark, again, keep your head up, kid, you may well be back this year and I applaud your performances. We may not have beaten UA without you. Lick the Beavers!

I'll take either QB (I trust the coaches choice). The "shotgun", in certain situations, is perfect for both of them. If Johnson is 100%, Redcorn could play QB, and win.

I hope Booty makes a couple "really nice throws," and that the "ball comes out much better," right into Sark's FACE.
