More Booty-Leinart

Quarterback John David Booty met with former quarterback Matt Leinart on the USC campus Monday night.
``We talked about 20 minutes and hung out,’’ Booty said. ``We talked about the whole situation he’s going through now and mine. How he’s felt and how I’ve felt after this game where things didn’t go the way I wanted to. It just didn’t happen last weekend.’’

unacceptable comment...i think jdb is a loser-a great athlete learns to adjust during a game. He,for some reason doesn't.

forget a nc.

We're still winning, John David is still getting it done, and there's still 118 teams behind us in the ranking. No need for the 'sky is falling' rhetoric yet.

I hope Leinart told Booty to ignore all the pessimists out there, that fans love you too much when you win, and hate you too much when you lose, and that 90% of these critics never strapped it on between the lines. And I predict that Booty, being the tough Southerner that he is, will relax now that the Heisman hype is ebbing, improve the timing with his battery mates, and lead this team to a memorable year.

Booty bashing continues...Booty has problems in the rain, in a hostile environment against a fairly athletic defense and everyone jumps in line to get a dig in.

At first, I was yelling at Booty, too, but at second look, he should not be blamed, we should have been pounding the ball between the tackles with Washington, Johnson and even Bradford (as slow as he seems to be), not throwing the ball.

Freshman Havili is all-world, but he is a freshman who is susceptible to freshman mistakes.
The ball was sailing because of the wind and when Booty tried to adjust and keep the ball down, it was predictably, batted down.

The thing that is lost on the discussion is that the Trojans WON the game. Last year, we lose this game.

My biggest complaint is still with the Special Teams. A blocked punt, poor returns, not so great kick coverage...the list goes on. There are a couple of teams in the conference who will punish us with their kick returns if we do not get better.

All around the Washington game was sloppy and lackadaisical. Unacceptable.

Booty is better than 95% of the QB's in the game. I, for one, am glad he's on our team.

Come on! Stop giving me excuses and give me the solutions! The reality is that Booty played terrible, wind, rain, whatever!

I don't know how much he should be listening to Matt right now!
