This article was well-written, informative and a good read. Kudos to the even-keeled report.

Fortunately he would only have to compete with Gable, Johnson & Johnson, Tyler, Bradford etal. No problem!

I haven’t really paid too much attention to Michael Coleman since he was recruited as a 4 Star QB in 2005…so I have two questions that I will throw out there to you all?

Question 1: Why hasn’t Coleman played significant time at SC?

a) academics
b) injuries
c) not that good
d) all of the above

Question 2: If Coleman returns does he really think he will beat out any of the returning backs…IF THEY ARE HEALTHY (I guess this is kind of a rhetorical question...or else he wouldn't want to come back to SC)?

Stafon Johnson > Coleman
C.J. Gable > Coleman
Allen Bradford > Coleman ???
Joe Mac > Coleman
Marc Tyler > Coleman
Broderick Green > Coleman

I guess it can’t hurt to have another 4 Star Running Back on the depth chart especially when the injury bug seems to be very contagious at USC…especially when the back is listed at 6’1, 220lbs and runs a 4.51.

PS – And is there any truth to the rumor that Moody wants to come back to USC too? (sarcasm)

I guess JJ I would say (d) all of the above...he was always hurt...I only saw him play a few times

The problem would be that he is a big guy and like you said we don't need anymore RB's and he didn't want to move to FB...

...sounds like a scholarship that should go to recruiting a back-up Offensive Lineman instead.

Sooooo... R Jay Soward is coaching high school students? Am I the only one that didn't know this?

I didn't know about Soward's coaching job. Best of luck to the man, I never heard a bad word about him.

Trojan RAB:I never heard a bad word about him.

ROTFLMAO

Scott Wolf

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
