No Defense

USC's 457 yards against Nebraska do not seem quite as impressive today. The Huskers allowd a combined 1,482 yards to the Trojans, Ball State and Iowa State in their past three games.

...so you're saying the Trojans broke them down for the other teams.

Given that 140+ yards came during the 4th Q against 2nd and 3rd string, this stat is not disconcerting.

I just don't think 700 yards were on our agenda there Scottie. We could have done anything we weanted to that night. We could have run for 500 yards.

Scott Wolf

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
