You gotta hand it to Jim Harbaugh. He talks, but he backs it up. And yeah, he's definitely a punk@$$.

This is frustrating. I gotta get off the boards.

Scott, Show some class. One of the best coaches ever deserves respect. If you want to be taken seriously as a journalist then stop making these stupid entries in your blog.

Harbaugh may be a punk, but he's their punk. His comment in the post-game on field interview about just wanting to share the victory with his players... That was very cool. Props to him. His quarterback isn't dry humping his leg yet, so he's still got room to grow before he's Pete Carroll, but he's on his way.

I think Harbaugh's "Punk" factor actually helped USC as the Coaches poll only dropped the Trojans to #7. Most of the coaches are not exactly buddies with Pete, but none of them think it's cool to talk about another coaches job situation like Harbaugh did.

If the Trojans play like Saturday its a moot point, but at #7, if they beat Cal and Oregon they are right back in the BCS hunt. I say if USC ran the table they would leapfrog the once beaten Sooners and even an undefeated South Florida. They would then losses by 2 of these: LSU, BC, or tOSU. Other problems loom also if Missouri or Illinois keep winning.

Let's hope for more non-USC upsets!!!!

It looks like Scott Wolf just lost his Mr. Passive Aggressive title. The word "passive" just doesn't fit anymore.

I have never seen a sports writer use the term "punk," which is a very loaded and insulting word. Perhaps Mr. Wolf has two writing styles, one for his column and one for his more liberal blog.

It says volumns about Pete Carroll that he continues to interface with Mr. Wolf. And, no, when Mr. Wolf recently wrote that he was a Trojan for life, it was his customarily low-grade sarcastic humor. And he is a man who is overly critical of the Trojans, a man who seemingly enjoys draining fans' enthusiasm. He is no Gary Klein. But he will never read this because is above even his own blog.

Yeah, Jim Harbaugh pops off alot with his mouth, but Harbaugh has impressive credentials- quarterbacking good Wolverines teams, all-pro in the NFL and a successful coaching sting at USD.

Et tu, Brute?

Scott Wolf

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
