Root Of Problems
Pete Carroll's upset about turnovers. Big surprise.
``It’s real clear we’ve fallen out of line with the philosophy of the program for years by turning the ball over,’’ he said. ``I’m not getting it done, I need to make it clear that every decision we make is about the ball.
``I’ve got to get back to that philosophy. If not, we won’t have a clue what’s going on.’’

Well Pete you better figure out a way to get Orgeron, Davis and Chow back. You are in over your head without them.

OK, I am not writting this myself. DIRECTLY FROM WWW.WEARESC.COM:
"Pat Ruel – one of the great line coaches in the game – allowed me to sit in and watch film with the O-line during summer camp, and I remember being amazed that a few of the linemen who have been in the program for a few years still don’t have a clue in terms of assignments and line calls. I remember thinking at the time, “if these guys have to play, we are in trouble.” Well – these guys are playing and we are in trouble."
"The bigger question for this week is this: does JD give the Trojans the best chance to win given the problems on the offensive line? I think JD continually shows that – when rattled with pressure – his decisions are not good, and with his limited mobility, he needs more help than this offense can currently give him. Maybe it's time to play Sanchez"
"Stanford committed its linebackers to stuffing the run – and for the most part, they did, because USC has no long threat"
Everyone still think I am "being a pessimist"?

house cleaning time is here folks. Time to show Mr. Ruel the door, and Sarkisian. And maybe some other coaches, too. At this point I am not above letting Pete Carroll move on to the NFL. His team here is a mess, anf he will not doing anything drastic about it. Just more talk about "forcing turnovers" and "we have to practice harder"
When we are sitting at 3-7 maybe more people will agree with me.

66, it's time to calm down! The guy that wrote that column is barely more of an authority than you and I. And please, let's stop with this madness about firing Carroll or letting him go to the NFL. He's a good coach. Really.

The root of the problem is when Pete C. decided Norm Chow had to go. Now for every year that Norm is gone, we are watching the slow decline of the offense back to the Hackett days. False Starts, holding, Interceptions, lousy pass protection...damn it is starting to feel like its 1999. We need Norm to run the offense and Pete to run the defense. Kiffin and Sark suck.

Jeez, a few bumps in the road and you guys are off the bandwagon! Stay off of it. 89 has never been on it and 66...you change your tack every week. You two need to just go find happiness at an LSU blog and get lost from here. Real Trojans are here for the long run. Win or Lose a few..

"66" or "89" for president of the Whine&Gold Club. Send in your vote, now. Which one shows the most gloom and cynicism? It's a shame they won't be able to enjoy the rest of the season. Whine-On!

Yeah, all of you are complaining about losing, that's okay, no one likes to lose. However; there is a reason and it's not the injuries, or the excuses Peter Perfect is spoon feeding the public, it's the coaching.....period.
IF and I say IF, the last two or three seasons commits are as Blue Chip as reported nationwide, then the problem with our team is obviously the coaching.
Why is it, with all the supposed talent we recruited we don't have a back that can carry the ball 25-30 times a game?
Injuries, BS, how about coaching and conditioning, they, the coaches have to develope that talent and if the talent is imagined and not real, then our coaching staff is then again at fault. I am not calling for Peter Perfect's head on a plater yet! However if he cannot salvage this season, with at the very least a 9-3 record, then Petey boy has simply succumbed to the L.A. hype like Leinart...way too many distractions and a lost focus on the reason he is here. At that point he has to go.

The root of the problem is COACHING ARROGANCE which permeates into the players psychic.

Wow,some of you guys ready to can Coach Carroll already? All of you who brings that up are crazy! Who would you like to replace him? Who is gonna recruit the talent like Pete has and get kids who probably wouldn't come here from out of state? Coach Carroll is a player's coach and he takes other states top recruits with ease (i.e Joe McKnight from Louisiana), Coach took him away from les miles and lsu! We've hit some bumps in the road, no need to panic. I do agree that JDB time to prove himself has passed! People, be careful what you wish for!
