ugh...this guy just doesnt get it, does he? what freakin game was he watching? SC's dynasty is over and carroll can't seem to realize it....why is he so obtuse scott?
That's crazy talk. Barely beating a scrub team, not coming anywhere close to covering the spread, interceptions, incompletes, countless punts, etc.
We need Booty back real bad...
SC has lost 4/5th of its OL, its top 2 rb's and starting QB to injury....make sure you don't break your ankle jumping off bandwagon twerps!
hey mike....we lost to STANFORD last week. NC teams, Rose bowl teams, they don't lose to stanford. at home. if you can't realize what is happening, well thats your problem.
as for me, i will still go to the games, root for my trojans, and i hope they win every week. just not expecting another NC anytime soon.
Are you serious? This was not an acceptable win. The last three games have been jokes.
Do you guys sit behind me at the Coliseum?? "They should run the ball with McKnight!!" SC runs the ball with McKnight and it gets stuffed up the middle. "Aw, what kinda play calling is that?!!" Good lord, the amount of crap you have to listen to at the stadium is exactly what you see in this blog (which even includes the author). You guys are all a bunch of weasels in cardinal and gold.
Nice job by Sanchez to get the win. Nice job by the defense to keep the score low. Nice job by the coaches to use McKnight on the punt return. And nice job by Booty to stay near Sanchez the entire game, giving advice, encouragement, water, towel, whatever. The boys are great kids. The program is still strong. If only the fans would pull their head out of their a$$es and support our student athletes. Rant over.
THANKS AGAIN TROJANFAN!! Look at what happened to LSU today - and almost last week. We won. Fought back from a lot of goofs and blunders, messed up plays. Showed poise and determination in the second half. Great run by McKnight - pulled a rabbit out of the hat, reminds me of R. Bush's great run against ND in 2003, with Ty Willingham shaking his head on the sidelines. Good job by Sanchez, showed poise, and some leadership, and some good decision making. What a difference with a QB who can move around, added a whole new dimension. Keep working hard. All you armchair QB/critics get off the bandwagon already. All teams go thru ups and downs, the great ones bounce back. I think we are watching a great one.
Ok, now I was able to watch the recording I made of the second half...It was a win, Joe finally broke through, and Sanchez was better than JDB was against Stanford and UW.
So it was not a bad day...a W is a W
Cushing, Pinkard, O Dowd, Baker, Rachal, Booty, Rey, Heberer, CJ, Galippo, Stafon, Wright, Thomas, Patterson, Jospesh, Green, Tyler, Spanos, Coleman
That is NINETEEN mostly serious, game missing injuries.
The injuries on the OL especially are the whole deal. SC fans need a REALITY check and see this team today may have grown up.
Ok, let's be real. This is a decent AZ team with good talent on both sides of the ball. The game happened the way most predicted, AZ exploiting our weakness in our secondary to get some fairly easy yards in the first part of the game. They could not run at us, predictable, but could definitely move the ball through the air.
USC starting a redshirt soph with game jitters produced two INT's but some pretty gutsy plays down the stretch. No doubt we are missing our OL especially O'Dude who was likely chomping at the bit to be be out there against his home town team.
This was gut check time - and all the Sanchez lovers got to see a young man at some of his best... And WORST. He could not get things moving and the play calling, again, was uninspired.
Meanwhile, Scott is still upset that Pete won't give him that sacred interview while other LA sports writer peeps get all the glory... Hence the "Ceasar" moniker... A joke! Scott gets all his scoops from players and assistants who have nothing better to do... A sad sad story.
Knock off the negativity... We're still SC and they're not...
Thanks Mike for reminding us and providing a reality check. This game was won with mostly the second and third strings.
Clemdiggity: I too wonder at Scott Wolf's overly negative, rancorous remarks. Sounds like he and Petros have formed a hate USC club because some of the football staff won't give them the interviews they want. Scott: Both you and Petros have grown too big for your britches - maybe you are the ones with a dose of "Caesar" syndrome. Some of us have been supporters for decades, thru ups and downs. In fact, where were you during the Hackett era? I was in the stands. Seems you just surfaced when PC's "dynasty" began.
Yep we have definitely been spoiled the last few years. Not sure what we were thinking when many of us predicted such a large victory, given all the injuries. I agree with other posts that the 4th quarter play on both sides may provide a real foundation to build off of for the rest of the season.
"See because if you are in any way critical or don't say everything is perfect you are jumping off the bandwagon. You might as well rip up your degree, burn your USC clothing apparel and start rooting for UCLA. Real Trojans can't think." -At least one guy we have all heard from.
"What USC did YOU go to? The 'SC I attended supported critical thinking. I hope we win but there are some things we can improve. This isn't the SEC; we can deal reality." -Normal USC fan.
