Well thanks for being generous Scott...#11 is way too high. They don't deserve to be ranked. And they won't be after they lose next weekend.
That's what concerns me. Not that they lost a game..they lost to Oregon st. last year who wasn't ranked and playing without their top RB. They lost to Kansas St. in 2002.
What concerns me is that they look like a team in disarray. I have no idea whether the players think PC is leaving after this year or think they are too great and don't have to try, or what.
But it looks to me like PC has lost control of the team. WR's don't run routes, fumbles, INT's, miscommunication, penalties, botched snaps, the O line never plays well, stupid plays by Booty, predictable play calling...the list goes on and on.
Why would a recruit want to come to a program like that? Let's face it folks, the dynasty is over. We are back to being an average team.
Serious changes need to be made now. I posted last week that the players were not concerned about the Washington loss. They better be concerned now. I would go to the point of, it's time to dismiss coaches. Get rid of Sarkisian, and Pat Ruel. The O line is awful. No running game. Start Sanchez. Get Patrick Turner out of there he drops every pass.
I would say we are looking at a 5-7 year, at best. So no more #1 recruiting classes.
USC1966 has just done the fastest flip-flop in the history of time. I'm not trying to say USC doesn't have issues or doesn't have need to be concerned but 5-7?
The O-line NEVER plays well?! Where was that complaint against Nebraska or Wazzu? USC has had one of the best O-lines in CFB the past 6 years. Never plays well? Inconsistent or injury ridden maybe but not never plays well. What a joke...
I'm as upset about the performance as anyone but I'm not about to have a mental breakdown and start making outrageous claims. USC needs to make changes and PC knows this. It was evident in his post game comments yesterday.
The massive injuries to the running game and O-line were evident yesterday. USC couldn't protect Booty or give him time to throw and he's not the type of QB to create his own plays. He panics when things aren't going well. IMO there are no sure red-shirts (except for those injured) coming into this week of practice. Everyone's fair game for major minutes.
What's evident is that the guys starting now are either too confident in their roles or beginning to read their own press. PC needs to find the guys that are hungry and not just coasting on past glory.
But SC is not a 5-7 team. Stop over-reacting, take a step back and look for answers.
The only thing I would say that I learnt for sure yesterday is that Chauncey Washington is done.
He's not the answer at USC. He should be the relief guy for Stafon and nothing more. Stafon should get the bulk of the carries and PC needs to stop trying to re-create the Reggie-Lendale duo. Let Stafon tote the rock 25 times a game and give the remainder of the carries 5-7 to Joe McKnight.

What is it about USC playing against backup QBs (Ayoob, I believe was backup in 2003 when Cal beat USC in overtime, Eli Roberson was backup in 2002 for KSU, etc.) and playing on random, stupid channels that shouldnt be showing football (TBS jinx, now VS jinx).
USC is still one of the best big game teams, I don't care what anyone says. Michigan, Texas in Rose Bowls (even though we lost in to Texas, that was a hell of a battle), Iowa, Oklahoma in the Orange Bowls. USC plays big in big games, they just have this stupid idea that they can mail it in when the game isnt important.
How much does USC miss Brian Cushing and Josh Pinkard???
1966, were you one of the people carrying signs in Times Square on Y2K predicting the forthcoming apocalypse? Chill out, man. Last night was a giant turd but this isn't a 5-7 team. This is probably, at worst, a 9-3 team. My best guess is 10-2. I wish the people that post here would stop screaming about the end of the world coming. You guys sound like Bama fans.
Scott - Where was Allan Bradford?
