Stay Calm

One of the big issues for Mark Sanchez this weekend will be keeping his poise and not trying to do too much, which sometimes occurred in scrimmages.
``The biggest thing for him is his emotions. It's his first opportunity to play. Part of that comes from trying to prove himself,'' offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian said. ``He doesn't need to prove anything to people. He's earned that right.''

It is friggin Arizona! Seriously, if we need to start worrying about beating the crappiest teams in the Pac-10, we are in deep trouble. The Stanford game was a fluke, nothing more. Anyone who says USC isn't any good, is an idiot. We may not beat Cal or even Oregon this year, but that doesnt make us terrible enough to worry about Arizona.

Love the enthusiasm, but if you look at our last 3 Pac 10 losses…they were to friggin Stanford, friggin, UCLA and friggin Oregon State. That being said…USC is still a very, very good football team if we can get everyone healthy, but I went to the USC v. Stanford Game last Saturday and watched the Trojans implode. I also traveled to Tuscon, Arizona last year to see the Trojans flirt with disaster and squeak out an ugly 20-3 win in the desert. So I do not take anyone for granted…especially the crappy teams. It is way easier to get fired up to play Cal and Oregon than Stanford or Arizona.

Don’t get me wrong 04trojan…with a 63-7 record over the last 5 ½ seasons, my money is on SC anytime Carroll’s Trojans step onto the field. But I would rather be confident than cocky.
