Wow, not one, but two two-loss teams ahead of ASU. Is it all the hot coeds, Scott?

BC can beat LSU, OK, Fla, Oregon-to name a few-???

Hawaii so high?

who has Penn State beat?

South Florida still up there?

You mean undefeated Kansas is the 4th best team in the Big 12, and is still rated #10!!! You must think REALLY highly of that conference that the Trojans took to task in Lincoln earlier this year.
And what does ASU have to do to convince you that they just might be good to very good - ask Cal?!

Oh man, here we go again. Remind me next season to save Wolfie's weekly ballots to compare from week-to-week. Here are a handful of "WTFs" that immediately pop!

1) West VA over Oregon. Oregon has beaten Mich and SC, WV has beaten absolutely no one!
2) WHAT is the love affair with 2-loss Texas!?! I live in TX, and they are WAY down this year. Their BEST win is UCF and they got BLOWN OUT at home against K-state. WTF? Wolfie, this vote must be based on UT's tradition, and not a solid evaluation of this year's team. And, you're only supposed to let tradition influence your vote for USC, damnit!
3) Umm, ASU is undefeated, ranked high in NCAA stats for O and D and had a very impressive performance against Cal. WTF?
4) Uhhh, did you even read the Internets this morning? Florida, South Florida and Kentucky all lost! Florida has 3-losses, South Florida lost their 2nd in a row to Uconn (Uconn???), and Kentucky lost their 3rd against Miss St. You honestly believe that these 3 schools deserve to be ranked higher than SC after we were w/in 30 yards of sending the Oregon game into overtime in the Autzen Zoo. You CANNOT be serious! (Johnny Mac reference here.)

Wolfie, I am convinced that you submit your ballot without a careful analysis of Saturday's results and season resumes. Can't wait to see pollspeak.com this week. Lick the Beavers!

After reviewing the new polls today, and venting some of my frustration over Saturday's disappointment, I do have some hope for this season yet. A few commenters and the guy at the San Bernardino paper have it right. With our defense playing as they are, we have a GREAT shot at beating OSU and Cal, although they both scare the crap out of me. Then, after several teams ahead of us in the polls lose, we are back up to #10 or #11 going into the ASU game. Assuming UO beats ASU in Eugene, then our game with ASU is essentially for 2nd place in conference. We win that game, knock off an inconsistent UCLA at home in a revenge game, and we are almost CERTAINLY in a BCS bowl game. The Rose if UO goes all the way, or the Fiesta as an at large. Or, if we do lose the ASU game, and ASU loses at Oregon in a close one and wins out, and Oregon wins out as they should, then UO and ASU both would probably be BCS bowl selections, and we still go to the Holiday Bowl. Remember, the Fiesta Bowl would love to take a 1 loss ASU team, if available. And UO seriously might make it to the Sugar, as I see OSU, OU, and BC all losing again this year. A good bowl and a top 10 ranking are all REAL possibilities, especially if our D plays like they did in Eugene. If they play like that, they will dominate the rest of the season. Now, can we find a way to get some more productivity from the Offense?!?!?!? Pete/Sark/Morton/McNair, what's the plan there boys? How can we have 10 blue chip RBs and almost NO running game??? While this season was supposed to be a championship season, we really would be spoiled brats if we were not at least pleased with a top 10 finish, given the current craziness in college football, right? Isn't that right, or am I being too soft and forgiving? We cant' finish top 5 forever?!?

Hope springs eternal in Troy! Buckle up, boys, we start afresh on Monday! There were at least a few positives in Eugene to build upon....Vidal, Patrick, Def, Sanchez, Buehler....Buehler???

Holy Cow! This is by far the worst Ballot I have ever seen in all of my experience following CFB. If it were not for the fact you actually have OSU and BC 1 and 2 (which is ridiculous considering their schedule anyway), I would accuse you of throwing darts at a board to determine your ballot.

A poster above already pointed out several logical reasons why your ballot is so F'd up. Did you not know Florida lost it's 3rd game of the year?!?! Is it that you buy into the total, BS, over-hype of the SEC? Wow, talk about an ordinary conference this year. How do you have WVU ahead of Oregon? Even worse, how the heck do you have Oklahomo and Texarse so high? I guess I will have to read your profile, because apparently you lived in those areas of the country as a young, impressionable youth, or you're sleeping with someone in that conference.

Wow. Someone honestly should take your voting privilleges away; this is beyond reckless and negligent.

Stewart Mandel at CNNSI provides a breakdown of why he ranks teams a certain way and discusses his reasoning at length in his blog. Readers may disagree with the outcome but it is obvious he works his ass off to get it right.

I do not see that same effort here.....

Scott should just ban all of you since you just whine...if you don't like it, go to school...go work for a paper and get your vote...

sorry that life doesn't go your way but hopefully you feel much better on the USC sites where everything is more "positive"....
