Time To Pay Up

Former Notre Dame QB Brady Quinn briefly wore a USC jersey after losing a bet on last week's game with Rodney Peete. According to the Associated Press, when Quinn finished an interview, ``he quickly ripped off the jersey and slam dunked it into a nearby garbage can.
``A few minutes later, Browns linebacker Willie McGinest, a former USC All-American, confronted Quinn in front of his locker. McGinest wanted to know what Quinn had done with the jersey.
"You acting up?" McGinest said.
"I didn't make the bet with you," Quinn said.''

He ripped it off so quickly because it burned his back like holy water.

Acting up by a loser:

Quinn 0-4 career vs USC

More revealing is how stupid he was to take the bet. Thought QB's were pretty bright, guess ND's the exception...just look at Jimmy, the 20-year-old freshman. Started kindergarten at age 6 and repeated 6th grade. Too bad Jimmy couldn't follow Brady's perfect losing legacy vs SC. We'll just have to settle for three beat-downs...if he ever makes it back into the starting lineup.

Hey, go easy on Jimmy Clausen!

Wait a minute... on second thought, pile on. He seems like a smug little jerk anyway. I'm glad we got the best 2 players from Oaks Christian. (Tyler and Jones) Notre Dame can keep that scrunched face little punk all they want.

And as for his proclamation, "we will NEVER lose to USC if I am QB"??? Could be true if he keeps getting benched. Hard to lose when you're riding the pine.

Did the article mention if Brady Queen had tears in his eyes when he was confronted? Willie should have slapped his sorry a$$ for being disrespectful.

You gotta remember folks, ND is a completely classless organization from top to bottom. Coaches, players, fans, broadcasters, the whole ball of wax.

It always cracks me up when I see these "slash" fans on here, who say they like USC but "have a bunch of great friends who are ND fans and are all class" USC/ND...sorry you can't be "USC/ND"...and because they know 1 or 2 ND fans who are nice they try to convince the rest of us that all ND fans REALLY love USC and are choir boys..

ND is a bunch of pompous, rude, arrogant jerks just like Mr. Quinn mentioned above. Although I am surprised he was man enough at least to put on the jersey after he lost the bet.

These are the same people who chanted "fuc* pete carroll" after the game

Their boards are full of posts like "all the USC players are on steroids" and "nothing can stop my hatred of USC"

they think they are better than everyone else in football, and everyone else should bow down and kiss their feet and they DESERVE to be in a BCS bowl every year BECAUSE THEY ARE ND

They ran the score up on us to 51-0 in 1966 and were still playing the starters

they run the score up on Army, Navy, etc. and dance in the end zone saying "ND #1!!"

they were involved in one of the worst booster type scandals in college football (Allen Rossum)

see "the fainting Irish" in 1951..one of their players pretended to be hurt because they didn't have a time out..which was so blatant the were voted out of the #1 spot after the game even though they won..

anyone see that interview with "rocket" ismail on TV? talk about ghetto..and that's how all of Holtz's recruits were

"We are done losing to the purdue's and pittsburghs of the world"

What they want now is for ND to beat Pitt by at least 20 next year so they can insult Mark May (anti-ND commentator on ESPN) They talk about that all the time on their boards

the list goes on and on..Quinn's actions don't surprise me at all.

Man I wish we had an out of conference rivalry like this. That would be fun! Mr. Wolf I think you hit a nerve. But really, common, it had to hurt to put that jersey on. I think you all should just laugh and enjoy it. No love for ND up here either. They hose everyone and think they are entitled to special treatment.

1966, I think you may be foaming at the mouth there. I was at the game, and had been in South Bend since Monday evening: Notre Dame fans are, by and large, exactly like the bell curve for the rest of us. Lots of decent people, some assholes, some saints.

Don't let internet fans make you think otherwise, because if that were the case USC is populated by Charles Manson followers.

Way to go Willie Mac!!!! Show that Poly & SC Pride to that boy there!!!

I hope Quinn is wearing a Naval Academy jersey after November 4th. Go Navy!

Wow, some old Wearesc.com folks have shown up on Scotty's Board.

JonathanTu was/is a legend on wearesc. I think I've seen Brdcster on here too.
Who next? BunkerBuster or Kitana?

With all respect to your friends johnathantu, I have "Friends" too who are ND fans and they are about as arrogant as they come.

One of them even said, before this year started, "Why is ND not ranked in the top 5 preseason??" Even though it is a down year for them, of course shouldn't ND be #1 anyway? haha

I know lots of ND who are not on the internet at all. All jerks and loudmouths.

I opened up a USC fanblog on www.thesportingnews.com, only people to come on?

ND fans to post how USC sucks

I wrote to a editor of www.uhnd.com..his response?

PC sucks

sorry, don't buy it :)

especially when there are 20,000 people chanting "Fuc* pete carroll" it's hard for me to believe they are great fans with superior sportsmanship

:o))

glad you have nice friends though

McGinnest=USC badass, the likes of which there are very few of 'round the program these days. Shaun Cody was the last to have perfectly fit the mold.
