Turnover Drought
What happened to all those turnovers Pete Carroll teams used to produce? Maybe one reason for the decrease is a methodical offense places less pressure on an opponent.
Remember Reggie Bush's big touchdown runs or catches immediately put the other team on its heels and forced to them to throw the ball.

Well, I've finally come to realize how to maximize the Scott Wolf Blog experience.
Since only a very rare handful who post here actually have a realistic clue (Tyler, Bruce from Anaheim Hills, JJ, Gilly King, Tirebiter1)..The rest of you bandwagon,quiche eating numbskulls just babble on to see your mostly whining posts in print or to inflame each other...I'v decided that simply reading Scotts postings alone and ignoring the rediculous comments section is the only way to go here.

Hoping to get turnovers from the other team is a little like hoping to win the lottery. It is not easy. The one thing a team does have some control over is not turning the ball over itself. Look at the line score of any game, focus only on the turnover-comparisons, not the score, and most of the time the team "winning" the turnover battle has won the game.
And let's deal with the present here. Yeah, Bush and Leinart helped SC to obtain turnovers. But those guys were alltimers. And they're now only SC memories.
Some of my thoughts are that these 5-Star All-Americans play the positions technically sound, but lack the fire to make plays on the ball.
Forcing turnovers takes desire and inspiration as well as talent. Speed and technique is not enough...
The other problem is DB's not catching sure INT's. We have had an innumerable number of drops by DB's the last two years.
Goliath...thanks for being a voice of reason. I agree with your choice of the posters who really seem to have some knowledge of USC football. Since the Stanford game, about 90% of the posters are first-timers, and most don't seem to have a clue. Some of the crap that is being posted is just what Scott Wolf is looking for...create an anti-coaching staff and anti-player atmosphere and he can dance his victory dance. Keep up your good posts.
