I bet SC is excited for his opportunity to play, too. What is the betting line now?-- it was 39 to 40 points before this news.

T.C.Ostrander, Stanford's starting QB had a seizure in a restaurant last weekend. He stayed in the hospital overnight for observation and went home the next day. Hopefully there's no serious problems.

I hope Ostrander gets well soon. For a person to experience seizures at such a young age is scarry.

Let's see...Stanford at the Coliseum with a first-year coach and inexperienced QB. SC coming off a disappointing road performance, losing the #1 ranking and with a week of hard practice to fix things. If only Coach McKay were here...he might get his wish this Saturday.

AlwaysBeatND,

You also forgot to mention Harbaugh's comments coming into this season. I kinda feel bad for Pritchard. At USC is no place to start a career...

Best wishes for Ostrander. That is a horrible thing for a young guy to deal with.

Right you are Tyler. I think Coach Carroll has a little bit of the McKay in him too...behind the laugh and smile.

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
