Caesar Conference
From today's Pete Carroll press conference.
Q. The idea is that you might one day go to the Chargers…?
Carroll: Honestly there's no time to talk about any of that stuff. They're working their tails off to have a good season down there right now. First place as a matter of fact. They're doing pretty good.
Q. What about New England?
Carroll: No, I think that job is filled, too.

unlike years before, I could care less if PC goes to the pros.
Same here, I can't wait to finally dump Carroll's dead weight and finally install Sark in his rightful spot as head coach. Or maybe Kiffin will come back after he gets canned next month. Better yet, we need a top down cleansing of the athletic department with John Redcorn as our new AD and Scott Wolf taking over as sports information director. Adieu, Tessalone, adieu.
Hey Just4SC:
Be careful what you wish for. We should be thankful that Carroll, the third choice behind Bellotti and Erickson, was hired for this job. He turned around a program that had sparodic success since Robinson. Carroll's teams are always in the ball game, and fight until the bitter end. They don't give up on a game or a season. He is consistently landing the top recruits in the country. He was this close to winning a 3rd NC against Texas, and a tipped pass or two away from returning for a 4th NC game last year in a "reloading" year. This year, injuries have taken their toll, and there have been some coaching mistakes along the way (Booty throwing against Stanford, and the RB rotation).
As far as I'm concerned, Carroll can stay as long as he wants.
"What about New England"
Ouch.
