Chauncey Washington, who gained a career-high 220 yards, said the constant rain affected the game plan.
``We changed our game plan a lot,'' Washington said. ``They came out and told us in the morning, when we had our walkthrough, they said it was going to rain so we were going to pound the ball.'

"Pounding the ball" is an offensive line term, linemen love to hear. I'm glad Chauncey didn't take it literally like he's shown in past games.If the offense is going to "pound the ball", the backs run for daylight, instead of looking to hit somebody first. Excellent job against CAL, Mr. Chauncey Washington!!!
