tie score, start of the 4th.
one team looks fired up.
hope we're don't need a last minute drive to win that will require some time outs. %-)
Great win in the rain and on the road. One that looked unlikely a few weeks back.
In a wild season, USC likely avoided the Sun Bowl with the win.
The winner of the ASU-USC game likely goes to a BCS game with Oregon in the Rose or BCS NC game.
Fight on Chauncey, JDB, T2, and the rest of the Trojans!
Great to shut down the commies and the 1960s throwbacks on tightwad hill and the tree huggers.
Kudos to Chauncey for a stunning game, JDB played in control, relatively few errors, Taylor Mays is indeed an All American and a game saver.
Scott, PLEASE give your ballot a bit more thought. Your vote obviously counts, and there is not a person who reads your blog that can follow any logic behind at least a half dozen of your choices.
10-2 and Rose Bowl is looking in reach. Ducks should be number 1.
UGH...a post by a Richard Nixon "kill the commies" fan..Hey Leo..
THE COMMIES ARE GONE CHILL OUT MY FRIEND IT'S 2007
nothing I like more on my Saturday night than some stupid mindless hatred followed by a catch phrase
"tree huggers"
Leo, it is OK to have a mind of your own. Just letting you know buddy. Don't just follow what is on the TV.
Then Followed by some fake humble drivel "golly gee beaver please vote Oregon #1"
Hey Leo whatever..what was wrong with the 60's? Good music (beatles) good movies (the graduate) good living..
mixed feelings about the win...both teams showed effects of prior letdowns from underachieving seasons.
Our offense looked pretty bad most of the night-especially the 3rd quarter. CW was amazing and the OLine had some nice holes, but let's not forget that this is Cal and that always means bad defense and poor tackling.
JDB had his moments tonight though he still seems shaky, and I find myself waiting 4 him to implode.
The d was fine though Nate helped them a lot. The tackling wasn't that great, but Cal still has some great playmakers. No pass rush, but †he secondary played well.
lucky for us, the so=called tough part of our schedule doesn't seem so daunting as it did a few weeks ago. Lots of demoralized, beat up teams await us
This line by Kurt Streeter on his LA Times Trojan fans are spoiled:
"These are college kids who give heart and soul, and they don't deserve the backbiting".
Thnx
It was definitely as sloppy game on both sides of the ball and weather definitely effected both teams(no excuses for JDB bobbling a handful of snaps though...bad mechanics and he needs to get down lower under the center). It was nice to see us attempt to throw the ball down the field albeit it was only a couple of times. Chauncey definitely looked like he was on a mission. My main question/or complaint was the officiating and that offsides call on Kyle Moore that negated that fumble recovery in the 2nd quarter...I did not see him jump nor did he look like he was lined up offsides. A 10-2 season is looking promising boys but lets hope they stay focused and hungry. FIGHT ON!
Hi 66,
I have been to 3 SC games at Berkeley. IMO, the Cal fans are really by far the worst sports, compared to fans at other Pac 10 venues. Even the fans in South Bend are more reasonable. (But point taken on the music, life in the 1960s , and yes, Nixon was a really awful president.)
Cheers,
Leo
